					<description>I kind of agree with that point.  I appreciate the publicity stunt nature of the idea... but in practice a Senator should have lived in their state for at least a little while.  </description>

I've always had problems with this concept.  How can your fairly represent a state if you haven't lived there for some time?  I think the rules need to be changed so the person must live at least one year in the state before being able to register as a candidate.  It applies to students who wish to obtain in-state tuition, after all.</description>

					<description>Well, I guess if it's okay for Alan Keyes to be the GOP nominee for the U.S. Senate from Illinois even though he lives in Maryland, it makes sense for the Utah LP to try to find the strongest candidate against Orrin Hatch. Perhaps Michael Cloud will apply... he has already run for the Senate from Nevada and Massachusetts and is an excellent speaker.</description>
