A Few News Items…

The Libertarian Party has dropped the July 31st goal for 5,000 new or renewed memberships. As of right now, the party has accomplished 1,700 new/renewed memberships. No word on what percentage was renewals and what was growth.

New York governor George Pataki has stated that he will not seek a fourth term. This may allow billionaire and three-time Independence Party candidate Tom Golisano to may a serious bid for the GOP ballot line. Could be interesting.

Kevin Zeese continues to plot his fusion campaign for US Senate in Maryland. He is seeking the support of the Greens, Libertarians and the Maryland Populist Party.
