Potts Campaign Not Catching Fire

It appears that Russ Potts, a Republican State Senator and independent candidate for Governor, is having trouble winning over Virginia voters. Potts had polled as high as 9% during the summer months, but refusal to allow him into the debates and an extremely close race between the major party candidates have stuck him in mid-single digits.

From Roanoke.com:

Potts’ campaign appears to be flagging. The outspoken state senator fell to 5 percent in last week’s survey, a 1-point drop from September and a 4-point decline from a July poll by Mason-Dixon. Potts’ name recognition has increased dramatically, but it apparently hasn’t helped him win over voters.
