Today’s Candidate: Michael Berg

Today’s candidate of the day is Michael Berg for U.S. House of Representatives.

Berg is running as the Green Party candidate for Delaware’s at-large Congressional seat. If the name sounds kind of familiar, it should. Nick Berg, his son, was kidnapped and brutally murdered in Iraq several years ago. A video of the beheading was widely circulated on the Internet.

    I’m surprised his candidacy hasn’t sparked more national media coverage.

    The national GP seems to be recruiting some significant candidates. I wish my state could do the same.
