  1. Mike N. Says:

Very nice! Please tell me it is on a major highway.

  2. George Whitfield Says:

I am glad to see it and hope it will be followed by many more. Go Badnarik!

  3. Allen Hacker Says:

    Thanks! We like it too.

Artistic development by Jon and a buddy from a concept by Allen, photo by James Ebert, design-critiqued by everyone in and around the office; funds raised by everybody on staff and from all over the country. A true team effort!

It’s offset across a grassy lot at the intersection of two major surface streets.

And it’s completely paid for all the way past the election.

    Stay tuned….

Now if only there had been 100 of them…

  5. undercover_ararchist Says:

    Seriously, though, this is good.

I notice it doesn’t say “Libertarian” in any prominent way.

This could be wise as to not turn people off before even giving Mr. Badnarik a chance…

But it could also be negative in the sense that some voters might be surprised to see “Libertarian” under his name on election day, and choose not to vote for him.

Also, barring an outright victory, publicizing the Libertarian name is worth something..

“But it could also be negative in the sense that some voters might be surprised to see “Libertarian” under his name on election day, and choose not to vote for him.”

Even that situation is a positive for the party… it means the voter went into the booth planning to vote for a candidate and then sees that they were actually planning to vote for a Libertarian. Even if they change their mind because of this and vote for the R or D, it has to improve their perception of the LP as a party capable of fielding a candidate that the voter might actually considering supporting.

Not sure if I said that in the clearest of ways, but hopefully you get my point. :)

FINALLY. And, he’s running for a winnable seat.

...a cool breeze is blowing through Hell, and the weather is beginning to change…

  8. Phil Says:

Doesn’t say Libertarian anywhere on it. Interesting…

  9. Phil Says:

And I do hope Mr. Badnarik the best, I should add.

  10. Austin Cassidy Says:

Just a quick note Allen, you might already be aware but your press info page still has Badnarik/Campagna for President on it.

  11. Allen Hacker Says:

    Thanks, Austin,

Yeah, I’ve been chasing demons all over the site since we had to move it several days ago, and been distracted from even that task by glitches in the new mail server. It’s finally all starting to come together….

  12. Jake Porter Says:

Mr. Hacker, Mr. Badnarik and Badnarik campaign team,

Great job. I like the billboard, and think that it is a very effective method to getting people to hear about Michael.

  13. Chris Moore Says:

I was starting to get worried. With the blog being down, no Badnarik news was getting to us supporters on the other side of the country. I almost thought you guys went on vacation … but then I remembered Michael Badnarik is a machine and doesn’t need a vacation :)

  14. Citizens For A Better Veterans Home Says:

Don Lake is not a full fledged Libertarian,
but he has been the defacto Veterans Advisor
for at least half a dozen candidates.

The code word LIBERTY is promanent on the
bill board. Excellent linkage, leave it alone!

Thank you. I take that as a sincere compliment.

My staff and I have only been working half days, usually from 9am till 9pm. As the campaign heats up, we’ll expand our work hours as necessary.

  16. Phil Says:

I know it’s kind of early in this campaign, but is there any polling data out and about?

  17. Jackcjackson Says:

Shhh. Polling Data is top secret.

  18. Allen Hacker Says:

    :-)

No, our polling data is only Normal secret. Normal secret is the stuff the opposition can get on their own but will have to pay for themselves. The Top secret stuff is, well, Top. To get that, they’d have to pry my head open and look inside, a very risky venture for the weak at heart, as anyone who has spent too much time with me can testify.

So does this mean you’d put up a good fight … or you’re just thick skulled? :)

  20. Tim West Says:

I’ve actually had that prying skull thing happen to me recently. be care what you wish for. :D

  21. Allen Hacker Says:

    Chris: Both!

    Tim: Affirmative!

  22. Allen Hacker Says:

    Second billboard is up.

This one’s more rural, out near the center of the district. It’s on the major connector between Brenham and Somerville (both in the district). All traffic coming from Somerville or home from the lake to Brenham will see this one clearly for at least 200 yards. Daily traffic is 6100 cars, and the cost through the elecion was $3950.

  23. Scott E. Crawford Says:

Excellent to see. Name recognition is the most important factor in an election, and the sign certainly helps with that. With the incompetence being demonstrated by both major parties across the nation, the need for a legit alternative has never been more dire.

  24. joe average Says:

    beauty, eh.

i better get off my large libertarian buttocks and donate!
