West Virginia CP ready for 2008
I got this email from Mr. Odom…
As far as my recollection, I cannot recall if we previously had a West Virginia state affiliate active before 2004, or even Party members in that state before then, I may be wrong. But as of now the current CPWV seems to be quite active and organized.
A Great Visit to West Virginia!
I had the pleasure of joining with members of the West Virginia Constitution Party at their bi-monthly meeting in Martinsburg, West Virginia, today, and I can report that they are very active and doing a great job in building the Constitution Party in the Mountaineer state!
Led by its very able State Chairman, Denzil Sloan, the Constitution Party of West Virginia is making steady progress in attracting new members through a variety of party building projects; has developed very professional appearing state party literature; is implementing a voter outreach program, using that literature; is developing plans for fundraising to support party activities; already has an active candidate for Governor, Butch Paugh; is recruiting candidates for legislative office and, most importantly, has organized and is kicking off its ballot qualification petition campaign for 2008!
In order to achieve ballot status they will need to secure more than 15,000 valid signatures statewide. It’s a big challenge, but there is time, as they have all of this year and part of 2008 to achieve their goal. I plan to roll up my sleeves later in the year and make return trips to West Virginia to help out with their petition campaign. I would encourage all members and friends of the Constitution Party in West Viriginia and in the surrounding states of Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Maryland, who are able, to consider lending a hand in these efforts in the coming year!
The Constitution Party of West Virginia is steadily growing because of the leadership, dedication and constructive party building efforts of the members of its state committee. Congratulations and “thank you” to all of our great friends in West Virginia for your work in building the Constitution Party!

Sorry I had to edit this one a few times. I’ve been up for quite a while now so I’m pretty fatigued.

I think Butch Paugh is a pastor and radio personality. That or else it’s a different guy with the same name.

If I remember correctly, he’s quite inflammatory.
