Conference of independents in New York City on January 28th

On Friday the Worcester Telegram & Gazette ran an opinion piece by Jacqueline Salit concerning the upcoming conference of independents in New York City on January 28th. You can read it here. She writes, “independents also have a need and desire to be organized — not just as swing voters reacting to partisan dynamics — but as sway voters, a force able to initiate political events and sit at the political table on its own behalf.” I confess I don’t get it. “Organized independents” sounds oxymoronic to me.

I really really would like to know for sure what is the subrosa ‘reality’ of the reform movement, CUIP, and Unity08 [and CP].
None of the organizations have public relations which can be trusted.
The Unity Party 2008 contact with the real world is stronger now that they have made a commitment [under pressure!] to persue ballot access.
The reform movement needs to reform the Reform Party, some of the most out and out devious folks we have ever met,——and our main contact with the Government of California is CALVETS, long recognized as the worst agency in Sacramento!
The Constitutional Party is not the constitutional party. They are Religious Stuff in Public Places, Anti Abortion, Anti Gay party. Every thing else they pretend to pay attention to is just Boiler Plating.
Three years of letters and phone calls and chats with CUIP, we have no idea what they want or want to do….......

The Committee for a United Independent Party is a front group for the New Alliance Party of Fred Newman & Lenora Fulani. NAP combines Marxism with a psychotherapy cult. In the wake of the Perot vote of 1992, the NAP cadre moved into the Reform Party and the New York Independence Party.

Jackie Salit, organizer of the New York Conference of Independents is closely associated with Newman, Fulani and the NAP. These people are best avoided by sane Independents.

    Citizens,

“The Constitutional Party is not the constitutional party. They are Religious Stuff in Public Places, Anti Abortion, Anti Gay party. Every thing else they pretend to pay attention to is just Boiler Plating.”

Of the articles posted on the CP site, the three issues you named are only represented in a handful of articles. The majority of those articles consist of shrinking government.

Well, yes and no. The anti Illegal Immigrant blogs could be taken as racist [altho I personally do not view it that way] and the smaller government stand could be a smoke screen for states rights [and more local anti abortion efforts].

Take veterans issues. In California, anti IRS chiropractor Donald Grumman is ‘One Of Us’ ! After he repeatedly contacted us to learn the facts of the real world on veterans abuse in Spring 2004, he ended up with a standing ovation on a Veterans Abuse speech at the CP National Convention.

CP has a national Veterans Committee. We are almost a decade old with solid CP (and on the left coast, American Independent Party, ties). Yet Jim Clyments has yet to respond to our various communications. And of their four listed telephone numbers, one is disconnected and another goes to an anti party person whom wants nothing more than to ‘go to voice mail’!

    CP = Hypocricy Party!

“The Veterans Coalition will focus on six urgent national issues:

    1. Secure Borders

    2. Strong National Defense

    3. Punish Employers of Illegal Aliens to the full extent of the law

    4. Limit Taxes to those for Constitutionally authorized expenditures(to include abolishing the IRS and replacing the current tax system)

    5. Eliminate Taxpayer Subsidies and Social Programs for Illegal Aliens

    6. Attain Energy Independence within five years

Veterans and their families and friends are encouraged to find out more about the Constitution Party and to join in this effort by visiting the national party website at www.constitutionparty.com or by calling 1(800) 2VETO-IRS or (717) 390-1993.

Ah, a face less voice on the phone finally admits that the Veterans Committee is ‘woefully back up’ and that Jim Clymer has been unable to keep up with correspondence.

In public life [and surely with CALVETS/CDVA] there is the official fact sheet and then real life realities….......

  6. Trent Hill Says:

CALVETS, I know nothing of the Veterans program under the CP. All I know it that it was VERY recently established, like within the last few months.
