Mayor West Calls for 15% Tax Cut
The following excerpt comes from the website of the Green Party of New York The remainder of the article touts more of what they describe as West’s accomplishments. West is up for reelection on May 1st. The site also features a candidate who is running for councilor-at-large in Syracuse.
New Paltz village residents will see their property taxes slashed by fifteen percent under the 2007-2008 budget proposed by Mayor Jason West. And yet, services will continue at their current high level and the village infrastructure continue the steady improvement that has marked the last four years. “I have been able to craft a budget that not only continues delivering high quality of life, but allows village residents to reduce their tax bill,” said West. “This is the result of four years of sound fiscal management and this budget maintains my commitment to a strong financial foundation the village can continue to build upon. . . ”

Is this the same Mayor West from Family Guy? Because that’d be pretty freakin’ sweet.

My favorite policy of Mayor West is his mandate that all caskets be filled with cement so his city will be spared from a zombie attack.

If more Green Party activists pushed for tax cuts, then it would be worth while for Libertarians and Greens to work together. Bravo to Mayor West, a Green that keeps his city in the black.

No, because the Radical Kook Fringe (RKF) of the LP would never work with anyone who would accept anything but a 100% elimination of taxes. “A 15% tax cut? What are you, a socialist?”

This proves that one man can ACTUALLY make a difference in governance.
Another example is THIS article on Rick Jore.

Yes, you read that right. Because they are trying to court Rick Jore’s vote, the GOP of the Montana Legislature cut the Health and Human Services bill from $3 billion to $300.
No, the zeroes are correct. Three hundred dollars.
