First, although we are small, the Libertarian Party can be effective in changing perspectives and policy. Secondly, Bob Barr is courageous and open minded. He has impressed me with his willingness to consider our viewpoint and re-evaluating his positions on the issues. I was happy to contribute to the making and running of the TV ads featuring Cheryl Miller and also to be able to personally thank Mr. Barr for his speech at the convention in Portland. We can make a difference. Ron Paul is showing that also. I think that this shows two important things. A change of heart is allowed--especially on an issue which doesnt effect someone's worldview. Marijuana isn't nearly as big of an issue as Abortion. Good.
