I had the misfortunate of catching part of the Laura Ingrham show last night. Some classic Know-Nothing collectivist rants included (all paraphrases):
“We’re tired of the ‘phony’ economic arguments for immigration” – i.e. peer-reviewed studies, none of which show that immigration is net negative for the economy
“We’re tired of people who put the bottom line of the global economy above the interests of this country” = She means above the interests of the medicore “middle-class” losers who want government welfare in the form of wage supports and are too lazy and untalented to compete
“The People! The People! The People!” = sounded very Marxist. FUCK the People. What about the Individual?
“What about the honest working man trying to earn a decent and fair wage?” You know how you know a wage is fair? Becuase it’s what you’re getting. End of story. Stop being a loser.
Then she had the audacity to criticize Grover Norquist of Club For Growth and call immigration a “socialist” plot, when the RIght Wing is clearly the collectivist, pseudo-socialist avant garde.
“Fighting for the Middle Class” = A new breed of collectivism. The Middle Class is a bunch of mediocre losers, born into their station, unwilling or unable to work hard to rise above their mediocrity, contemptous of those above and below them, entitled in a French sense to their station.
