Randy Stufflebeam announces candidacy for state representative in Illinois
Randy Stufflebeam, current chairman of the Constitution Party of Illinois and former gubernatorial candidate, appeared last night on Ben Miller’s This Is Politics show. During the show Randy announced that he is running for state representative in the 114th District. He also covered a variety of other topics, describing the actions of Michael Peroutka and the state parties that disaffiliated from the Constitution Party “inapproriate,” and reporting that he has spoken out very strongly against the idea that the Constitution Party should seek well-known candidates from outside their own party to run for President.
You can listen to the entire broadcast here. Constitution Party presidential candidate Jerome Corsi will be the guest on Ben’s show on June 18th, and on June 30th he will host a multi-party presidential debate that will include Constitution Party presidential candidate Don Grundmann.

Don Grumman of the Bay Area is a sleeper. He is articulate and passionate. He is not to be discounted. Citizens For A Better Veterans Home recommended him for United States Senate in 2004 and our home base, Reform Party of California in the southern counties, recommended him also!
His ‘Veterans Abuse’ speach at the CP national convention drew a standing ovation!

I’m glad he made this decision. It was very logical on his part. I think this is a race he can possibly win. He will have to be considered very seriously in this race. Good Luck to him.

Agreed. This is a race that he CAN win. I wish him well.

I’m glad he’s running and I’d like to see more candidates for State Legislature for the CP, LP and GP. But as for this race, the district doesn’t seem very CPesque (it went 62% – 38% for the Democrat in 2008).

The Illinois 114th is a very liberal district in East St. Louis. Good luck to him, but it would be a miracle if he won.
