SIP Chair Appointed to Board

There’s a Texas chapter of the Southern Independence Party? And the chairman was recently appointed to the Lancaster Airport Board (I’m about 15 minutes south of Lancaster):

JOYCE APPOINTED TO A LOCAL OFFICE

July 15, 2004

Dennis Joyce a local Confederate American Patriot and retired serviceman has been appointed to the Lancaster (TX) Airport Commission. Lancaster sent out a mailer and I responded. I was interviewed by the City Council on the 15th. Everyone, before me, had about 5 minutes before the Council. They held me for over 30 minutes.

Although this is a non-paid position, it gains me name recognition among the community leadership and the community itself. It is a small step, politically, but it is a step and every step forward we take now is one less we have to take later. Joyce also serves as the elected Chairman of the Southern Independence Party of Texas.

Having Confederates in local office of any sort can produce surprising results where we live. On the other hand having Federalists or Unionists in those offices can bring us regular dosages of grief as they see nothing wrong with stamping out our heritage, our culture, especially our Confederate flags, but also even our God and the Ten Commandments.

Every town or city has Boards and Commissions. Check out how to get on them and follow up.

Kind of a liberal interpretation of the word “recently” there.

  2. Austin Cassidy Says:

    Yeah, this is dated 2004.

  3. Joey Dauben Says:

    Haha.

Holy crap. I didn’t even see that.

  4. Austin Cassidy Says:

Might be worth editing the item to remove the word recently. :)

    local Confederate American Patriot

    huh?

  6. G.E. Smith Says:

It’s dated 2004, but the author is living in 1864.

    Probably a Lew Rockwell disciple.

  7. Robert K Stock Says:

The Southern Independence party was formed by people who did not like the leadership of the Southern party. The split was several years ago.

There are people, myself included, who do favor the South seceding from the United States. However, not much is being done. Lack of money and man power.

By the way, I do not read Lew Rockwell and realize this is 2007.

  8. Nigel Watt Says:

Lancaster is also 53% black. WTF?

  9. Devious David Says:

Robert, you mean too much Republican ass kissing, Republican butt sex and Republican rim jobs. Not going to happen down here anytime soon. It’s not part of the GOP agenda. The North American Union is more important than sovereignty.

People down here don’t answer questions about what they believe until consulting with their pastor and local GOP president. Or at least substitute right wing radio, if neither can be reached. If you ask a pastor, he’ll ask to be excused and call Pat Robertson to find out. If you ask the GOP president, he’ll ask to be excused to call the RNC. They brag about being the party of Lincoln as well. War criminals are heroes these days. Hence the popularity of “W” stickers on cars and trucks.

A Yankee might not have any common sense, but down here, nobody has any intellectual, rational sense. They have no problem figuring out what’s right in front of their face. They just can’t get past it thats the problem.

“The North American Union” ... So you’re THAT type of libertarian, huh? That’s too bad. I thought you were above that B.S.

  11. Andy Says:

Yeah, there is no North American Union. The government says that it’s a myth and that we shouldn’t worry about it so it must be true. “Libertarians” like GE Smith say that it is good so it must be. So is the Federal Reserve counterfitting operation. Rothschild and Rockefeller are free market advocates. We should always believe the government because they never engage in any conspiracies. The New World Order doesn’t exsist but it’s good!

  12. G.E. Smith the Capitalist Dove (check out my new blog) Says:

Show me evidence of the North American Union and I’ll believe it. But take it from a source that also doesn’t have information about UFOs, lizard men, and Zionist conspiracies.

NAU is a straw man for mercantilists who hate prosperity.

The Fed doesn’t “counterfeit”—it would first have to actually PRINT money in order to “counterfeit” it. You probably think the Fed prints money, don’t you?

Counterfeit: made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud.

Sorry. That doesn’t fit the bill.
