Louisiana Constitution Party website is up and running!
From CP Field Director, Gary Odom…
Take a look at the new, well designed website promoting our new Constitution Party organization in Louisiana. The most significant news in Louisiana is that they will be holding an organizational meeting on August 4. (See this website for details)If you have friends, family or associates who live in Louisiana please encourage them to support the Constitution Party by attending that organizational meeting and even more importantly to help us qualify for the ballot in Louisiana by registering to vote with the Constitution Party. (Again, for details check out this website)
Kudos to Brandon Hendricks for his great effort, work and perseverance in getting this great new Louisiana Constitution Party website off the ground! And congratulations, as well, go out to all of those in Louisiana who are working so hard to put the Constitution Party on the map in the bayou state!
Check it out right here.
Awesome work Trent!

It has been a long time coming. We were all glad to have Gary stop by and give a boost of excitement that got things moving a little faster. Brandon worked hard in his efforts to create the website. This is something he and I have talked about for well over a year. Trent Hill has been a driving factor in getting our meetings lined up, setting up contacts, and promoting general interest in the CP in Louisiana. He will be a huge asset when we kick off our registration drives.
As for the party itself, we hope to be on the ballot in ‘08. This is something that we all think will be easily achieved. We have several options in which to make this a reality.
We hope to bring you more news coming out of our great bayou state in the future. We will officially ask for affiliate status possibly during October’s National Committee meeting. We plan, for the first time, to have a delegate represent Louisiana at the meeting.
As more things move ahead, we look forward to the opportunities of working with other state parties as well as the sincere individuals who share the common cause in restoring America.

Is Trent Hill associated with this state party?

All politics is local.
If the LACP has a state platform of closing the Mr. GO canal that locals blame for the Katrina flooding, they will have petition-signers coming out their ears.

Yes GE. Trent Hill is a very active member of the CPoL.

Is Trent Hill associated with this state party?
=I believe he is the Chairman, or one of the top officers.

We haven’t done anything with a state platform yet and are only using the National Platform. While I can not speak for the rest of the party, but from personal experience, (My parents’ house in St. Bernard where I was living until Katrina had 8 ft of water.) I fully support closing the MRGO.
I’m glad we got the site up and running. So far all of the feedback has been positive.

I was down in St. Bernard Parish gutting houses a month ago, and people were pissed about the canal, the corruption, etcetera. That is one beautiful part of the country, and very unlike anywhere else I’ve ever been. Hopefully they’ll have a CP to match!

“We plan, for the first time, to have a delegate represent Louisiana at the meeting.”
Jason, I was at the last meeting. And had voting rights. Not sure why…but yea, i’d like to see at least one person go.
As for saying “go Trent”. It was Brandon Hendricks all the way. I couldnt even give good feedback. He was THE man for the website and did an EXCELLENT job as far as im concerned.
GE, to answer your question—I am the State Contact. Nothing more than that. I am not an officer, I have no authority. I was appointed by National to deal with new contacts and put together the first few meetings. THAT. IS. ALL. My work is practically done.

Matt,
Thanks for going down and helping in St. Bernard.
Trent & Jason,
Your input (along with Rob) helped out. Thanks. Hopefully we get a good turnout on August 4.

Trent,
You’re going to do a little blogging about your trip to the Mises Institute, right? Suffice it to say I’m quite curious, and I’d be willing to bet that others are too.

Matt,
I may send a few reports over to Austin Cassidy or something.
There is a mystery guess, and I think its you-know-who.

I think I’m catching your wavelength, although I might be overly hopeful!
