HoT’s Mike Nelson & Michelle Shinghal

I’ll get the video footage and photos up as soon as I get them, but I just have to say this about former Hammer of Truth bloggers Mike Nelson* and Michelle Shinghal: well, for one, Michelle is by far the hottest Libertarian I’ve ever met; two, Mike Nelson is by far the most successful Libertarian I’ve come across so far (his house is huge!).

Libertarians were out in full force yesterday at Warped Tour in Dallas, a massive punk-rock concert that tours around the country each summer; the TX LP had their booth and the organization I was working for with three very cool volunteers, Bureaucrash, were basically the only freedom organizations at this place (too bad we weren’t next to the Che t-shirt stands; that would have been fun).

Anyway, Michelle’s blog is over here. She’s the Collin County, Texas chair. Seriously one of the coolest Libertarians I’ve ever met. Oh, and state LP chair Pat Dixon was also on hand yesterday, but he didn’t stay too long (I guess Pat isn’t into punk as much). Still, it was a very productive event, and I’ll have photos and YouTube video posted soon.

*Mike is the Mike Nelson of HoT? Ha. I got an e-mail from a Mike Nelson wanting Ron Paul yard signs; had no idea this was the guy I was reading back when HoT was still uh, a blog. Still very interesting guy.

Full disclosure: After Warped Tour, we all went out bowling. And I was plastered. Every LP meeting should be as fun as last night :)

    Thanks for the kind words. Larissa loved meeting you and Bruce and she is still laughing today over your slip and fall on the bowling lane. You are truly Fred Flinstone in the bowling alley.

    Mike and Tim shared a bottle of good red with me and hung out until 4:30am- I have been wrecked all day. ;o)

    Let’s get together again soon- I believe we have a lot to continue talking about.
