Did the Govt Create AIDS?
With all of the 9/11 truthers getting press, Andre and I from Libertarian Politics Live! had a pastor who has written a few books on this very subject (Doug Bandow was our first-half guest). What do the Kool-Aid drinkers in the LP/CP/GP believe?

Joey,
Of course some conspiracy theories are bunk. It goes without saying that the government didn’t create AIDS. On the other hand, reasonable people have different opinions about the official story about 9/11.
Rather than engaging them in detail or ignoring them (these are the two honorable routes) you hop on the internet and attempt to poke fun at people for having ideas that you think are crazy.
It’s intellectually lazy, it’s bad radio, and now it’s clogging up one of my favorite blogs.

I think Dondero created it with all his wife swappery and monkey raping, etc.

And Gene Chapman spreaded it with his “breading” program.

I want to sign up for a “breading” program. I know fried food is bad for me, but it’s hard to stop.

It’s crap. The government would not create a deadly virus, without also creating an antibody, inoculation or antidote that they could administer to themselves. And their business partners, mistresses, &c.

Count me in as a “Kool-Aid drinker”. There are still idiots walking around that believe the government didn’t create LSD.
Worse, there are still idiots walking around that believe Saddam was linked to 9/11.
Even worse, there are still idiots walking around that don’t believe the government would ever lie to them.

You know, I was going to make my usual “I ment this, not this, I’m bad at spelling”, but you know, a Libetarian breading program…could lead to more supporters.

Gah…
The Moon Landing was faked! By Bigfoot! And Hitler!

The really interesting and mysterious AIDS related story is Tommy Morrison. He tested positive dozens of times, went on an AIDS Conspiracy kick, stopped taking his medicines, and now he’s HIV-free. He can’t be prohibited from boxing even because HIV cannot be detected in his system. Now he’s abandoned the AIDS Conspiracy talk and says the tests were false positives and he only got tested once or twice. That’s B.S., though, according to his manager, who has no reason whatsoever to lie about it.
