Why is all energy independence “government mandated” in your view?

If a presidential candidate is running for office and talking about energy independence, one would think that he’s promising to do something about it later, when he’s in office. Politicians make laws and enact policy. Both of those things are what you’d call mandates. Unless the president is specifically promising to use his own money to start a chain of biodiesel filling stations, you can bet that the energy independence he’s promising is government mandated.

Their “top 25 issues ranked by popularity that we don’t even have a platform to address” format is, for lack of a better word, idiotic. Some country singer once opined that “you’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything”, and Unity08 is a collection of people who are ready and eager to fall for anything. It’s a wonder they aren’t Obama supporters, for goodness sake!

I’m against government mandated energy independence.

I can’t even tell what they think on their involvement in Iraq page.

Unity ‘08 sucks. I’d rather vote Libertarian, Constitution, Republican or Democrat.

Yeah, they suck…”interactivity” and “and such”. what a bunch of losers trying to change the political landscape and “things”. i hope they just go away with all the other loser third parties that try and get members or potential members “activated”[my new word]. C’mon Austin!
