Paul/Kucinich ticket is the only way to go if americans want to be free again. Money=freedom in todays world. Our founding fathers set the framework for a free society. Socialist democrats and fascist republicans are ruining our country. Slowly eroding our civil liberties while destroying the greatest document of freedom. Bankrupting our country and setting up a police state. There laughing at us right now because it's become so easy to control and divide us. Freedom is a popular message ........Spread it

Another thing that Paul and Kucinich agree on is getting out of the WTO and NAFTA, but for different reasons. Kucinich recognizes that "free trade" with China and other poor countries means low wages, poor working conditions and unemployment for U.S. workers. They are a huge market, but their people are too poor to buy anything from us. I'm not sure why Paul wants out - it seems as if a Libertarian would be in favor of free trade. Maybe he realized that "free trade" was a like a neutron bomb that destroyed our manufacturing industries, but left the buildings standing. The Republicans and Democrats have not only shredded our Constitution, and our image around the world with their imperialist foreign policies, they've also shredded our economy.

Anyway, a Paul/Kucinich or Kucinich/Paul ticket is the only realistic alternative to Demopublican rule. It's time for a "people power" revolution in this country! We have to put aside our differences and throw the bums out. My congressman is a Democrat and he has voted with Bush all the way - invasion of Iraq, "Patriot" Act, Military Commission Act, and every Iraq occupation appropriations bill that Bush has asked for. Clinton is the same type.

Yes. His policies were so anti-Libertarian that Libertarianism was destroyed until its resurrection later on. Learn simple history, Milnes.

Milnes,

Study his policies...nearly everything TR did was anti-Libertarian.

There's a reason that everyone is telling you the same thing I am.

“I’m presently working on the working hypothesis that T. Roosevelt was a left libertarian bringing progressivism to the presidency.”

This is perhaps one of the most ignorant, uneducated and stupid comments I've ever read. Theodore Roosevelt is about as far as you can get away from libertarianism. He destroyed Libertarianism in this country for decades.

You're right. I just asked Jesus to make sure, and I was right. But I pretty much knew I was right all along; see, He's a busy guy, so I didn't want to waste His time asking about something that I was 99.9% sure about anyway, but I figured I would say "I think" unless I knew for sure. But since it came, well, I asked Him, and it's official:

Jesus Says "Nuke 'em!"

Ah-ha! Now we know it's not the real Pat Robertson. This one says, "I think that’s what Jesus would do."

The real Pat Robertson would "know" what Jesus would do, because Jesus would have personally told him.

I'd like to see a Paul-Gore candidacy. Gore did more as vice president to cut the size of the federal government than just about anyone. Also, when mlitary cuts prove insufficient to eliminate the income tax, Paul-Gore can institute a carbon tax to fill in the gap.

And Eric, a carbon tax would to more to fight Islamic extremism than our presence in Iraq. Saudi Arabia is the real enemy. Let's bankrupt them.

Let me preface this by saying I really like Kucinich a lot, I agree with him on 90% of the issues.
But this conjecture is completely in the other 10% that makes me wonder about his sanity. Kucinich is the Democrat that annoys the shit out of Democrats. Paul is the Republican that annoys the shit out of Republicans. And they are both against the war.
Other than that, their differences FAR outweigh their similarities. Paul wants to eliminate public education, Kucinich wants to expand it to be free Pre-K and College for all. Paul wants to privatize social security, Kucinich wants to expand it. Paul wants to substantially lower taxes (I assume..), Kucinich would need to raise taxes (If he is sane) to pay for his programs.
Outside of the war, Kucinich is probably closer in ideologies to Giuliani than Paul. And Paul is probably closer in ideologies to Clinton than Kucinich. And I'm not saying any of those people have ideologies remotely similar from one another--thats exactly my point.
If they ran a ticket together (which, obviously won't happen) I would be too confused on their stances to vote for them.
