Constitution Party of New York Rebukes Gilchrist Endorsement of Huckabee
Burr Deitz, chairman of the Constitution Party of New York, joined the leaders of eighty-one other immigration reform groups in signing a letter of rebuke concerning Jim Gilchrist’s endorsement of Mike Huckabee for President of the United States.
In reaction to Jim Gilchrist’s (Co-Founder of Minutemen) lone endorsement of pro-amnesty Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee:We, the undersigned, state that our organizations stand against racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens. Instead, we stand for the enforcement of our existing immigration laws, the securing of America’s borders, and attrition enforcement.
We have dedicated our efforts to fighting illegal immigration and we are compelled to warn the American public about the immigration stance and record of Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee.
We denounce Jim Gilchrist’s solo endorsement of a pro-amnesty and Open Borders candidate for President. Mr. Gilchrist does NOT speak for us!
Mike Huckabee is pro-amnesty and favors a “path to citizenship” for illegal aliens currently in the US, which would require a lifting of the current penalties.
Mike Huckabee is against ICE raids and decried them in his home state, when illegal aliens were arrested at companies that financially support his campaigns.
Mike Huckabee supports benefits for illegal aliens such as taxpayer subsidized in-state tuition.
Governor Huckabee also favors a “touchback” provision, which we feel is a trick to confuse voters. He would have illegal aliens leave for a day, pick up new papers, and then reenter the US LEGALLY, which is not the back of the immigration line! He has stated that illegal aliens could leave and “You do have a pathway to get back here legally that would take days, maybe weeks, not years.”
Mike Huckabee supported Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty that failed in the US Senate and was rejected by a large majority of Americans. He stated that those who opposed the legislation are “driven by racism or nativism.”
Mike Huckabee has distorted the goals of “attrition enforcement” and the positions of Mark Krikorian by adding visa expansions, expedited visas, and “touchback”, which would counteract enforcement measures.
In truth, Mike Huckabee’s stances on the illegal immigration issue are out of line with the vast majority of Americans.

Basically, Jim Gilchrist has no backbone whatsoever in political integrety.

Anyone interested in a funny (but it really happened) column about what Huckabee is really like face-to-face should try:

“Basically, Jim Gilchrist has no backbone whatsoever in political integrity.”
So he’s like 99% of our country’s politicians?
December 18th, 2007 at 12:02 pm
I don’t know what was crossing Gilchrist’s mind when he endorsed Huckabee. I remember very well when Gilchrist ran for that special election in one of CA’s CDs under the American Independent Party banner. He was endorsed by Tancredo and I think thanks to this, he got to poll above 15% of the 1st round vote and about 20% in the runoff. He’s a traitor in my opinion: he returned to the Republican Party (instead of helping make the AIP stronger) and endorses a pro-amnesty candidate for Pres. He should’ve supported Paul, Tancredo or Hunter and I’m sure their numbers would grow.

Yep. It’s a good thing that you guys didn’t pick this guy as a Presidential candidate. What a joke he turned out to be.
December 18th, 2007 at 1:56 pm
Sure did. Although there were rumors all along that he couldnt be our presidential candidate, for a couple reasons.
1.)During his congressional election, he proved that he shoots his mouth off way too much—doing irreperable harm to his own election chances.
2.)He has no political mind. See: Endorsement of Huckabee. lol.
I mean, that list includes some of his largest Minuteman Chapter leaders. As well as Chris Simcox, who heads up the Minuteman PAC.
December 18th, 2007 at 2:15 pm
Gilchrist is now trying to backtrack on endorsing Huckabee. Should have seen what every one else did Huckabee is pro-amnesty.now Gilchrist stands alone looking like a dumbass for not checking into Huckabee before shooting off his big mouth. These two egomaniacs deserve each other.

Basically, Jim Gilchrist has no train of logic whatsoever in political waters. In his 2006 Congressional try in Orange County [California] he was arrogant, unresponsive to potentiial SoCal supporters, had third rate web sites and ‘all over the map’ on themes and programs!
December 18th, 2007 at 5:49 pm
Mike Huckabee is a nice guy- to Mexico and Mexican illegal alien nationals.
December 18th, 2007 at 5:51 pm
Donald R. Lake, I agree with you about Jim. It’s too bad because I believe the man has his heart in the right place, but as you say, needed a professional in politicis to help him.

Gilchrist going off the Deep End should be a lesson to everyone in the pro-enforcement movement. Don’t look for so-called “leaders” or you’ll be disappointed. Even Tancredo has his weak links and he’s among the best of the pol’s on this issue. They’re all mortal and can be bought off. Gilchrist, though, set the price extremely low; he was willing to prostitute himself to the very first comer!
Everyone in this movement needs to stay true to the principles: the Rule of Law must be upheld, and the corollary, those who break the law must be held accountable. If the pol’s fail you, vote them out. If organization members betray you, kick them out. If “leaders” like Gilchrist will throw you under the bus for five minutes of fame, they shouldn’t be surprised when we face them with the consequences. Gilchrist is nothing more than a 21st Century Quisling!
December 18th, 2007 at 8:18 pm
Huckabee is a waste of time. He raises taxes, pardons repeat murderers, and favors big government solutions. The race should focus on a real choice, Daniel Imperato.
December 18th, 2007 at 8:26 pm
All who are trashing Jim should know that he was fooled by Huckleberry Hound who told him one thing that the touchback would take years but then telling interviewers that it would be only a matter of days. go to the American patrol website and read the buyers remorse.
December 18th, 2007 at 8:48 pm
Burr Deitz’s letter of rebuke is very poorly written.
“We, the undersigned, state that our organizations stand against racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens. Instead, we stand for the enforcement of our existing immigration laws, the securing of America’s borders, and attrition enforcement.”
Does this mean that even though the undersigned organizations claim to stand against racism and Amnesty (capital A?), they actually don’t as implied by the next sentence beginning with “instead”?
I guess the over-the-top emotionalism that some folks exhibit over the immigration issue prevents rational writing on the topic.
December 19th, 2007 at 1:01 am
Yes, people’s emotions on immigration is over hte top. Under the new order of world constitutional socialism, there will be no enforcement and all lawbreakers will have amnesty if the laws are victimless crimes like crossing unofficial artificial borders.
December 19th, 2007 at 4:44 am
Yep. It’s a good thing that you guys didn’t pick this guy as a Presidential candidate. What a joke he turned out to be.
=Thank God! What really killed him with us was his endorsement of Art Oliver for Governor; that killed his future with the AIP and the CP.
December 19th, 2007 at 1:33 pm
I almost feel sorry for Gilchrist. He found out that his new revival of an old movement wasn’t powerful enough to make him an Edward Jackson—but now that he’s leaving them behind, they’re trying to make him into a David Stephenson instead.
Oh, well. Trying to climb to power on the backs of idiots is a path fraught with peril, and I can’t feel too sorry for the guy who gets dumped off of those backs on his ass when the idiots turn out to be just smart enough to realize they’re being used.

The New York Party needs to worry about getting on the ballot, which it hasn’t done in 4 Presidential elections. I think Mr. Gilchrist made a mistake haven’t you before made any mistakes ?

Howard Phillips was on the ballot in New York in 2000. In 2005, Tim Sherman was on the ballot on the Constitution Party line for town council in Westport. He won that election and is currently serving the second year of his three year term.

Jim Gilchrist has NO SUPPORTERS, and has NO OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS for his own new sham “PROJECT”.
Jim Gilchrist did the Huckabee endorsement for his own glory. Huckabee was fooled by the Jim Gilchrist Fraud, all other candidates knew to stay away from the criminal fraud of Jim Gilchrist. Huckabee Clueless on immigration was the only one who responded to Jim Gilchrist pleas for himself to work with a Presidential Candidate because all the others knew that Jim Gilchrist is headed to jail for criminal fraud.
Jim Gilchrist is being sued for Fraud by the Minuteman Project Board of Directors.

Judge Randall Wilkinson denied Jim Gilchrist’s Motion to Reconsider his previous Motion for Demurer that the same Judge denied on November 11th. Gilchrist is trying to have this case dismissed, just like he dismissed his own case against Marvin Stewart, Barb Coe, Scott Powelson and Deborah Courtney after the four presented Judge Wilkinson a tremendous amount of evidence of the fraud, perjury, and embezzlement that Gilchrist and his co-defendants have perpetrated upon the Nation. The proof went to the same Judge Wilkinson in the form of audio recordings, email, and news casts. The Judge declared in court that he listened to and read each and every one very carefully, right before Gilchrist withdrew his own suit…
The same Judge Wilkinson, on November 11 and again today, denied Gilchrist’s Motion to Strike down Marvin Stewart and Deborah Courtney from going forward as The Minuteman Project Board of Director’s in suing Jim Gilchrist as an individual for Fraud, as well as his wife Sandy Gilchrist, Tim Bueler, Steve Eichler, Tommy Crenshaw, who are all in Default, as well as Does 1-500 who have participated in Jim’s charade or who have been illegally paid as his henchmen, and will be named very soon.
Case No. 07CC07184
MINUTEMAN PROJECT INC VS GILCHRIST
FRAUD
06/21/2007
CIVIL - UNLIMITED
Attorney Mark Brown then followed Marvin Stewart out of the Court Room today and wanted to know what it would take to make all this go away…which it won’t, and it can’t, until Deborah, Marvin, Barb, Scott and Paul, as well as the good donors of this Nation and every leader in this Movement, are adjudicated in court, and until we have had time to let the legal system bring charges against both Gilchrist’s, Bueler, Eichler, and Crenshaw, as well as a few others.
This is the second time that Jim Gilchrist has wanted to hold a meeting this month with the same Board of Director’s who fired him, but why? At this late date, let law enforcement and the jury system sort it all out: I know Marv, Paul, Barb, Scott, and I can withstand anything they throw at us, we already have….
Confusing? It doesn’t have to be if you follow these few steps. Paul Sielski documented the fraud and embezzlement that Marvin Stewart, Barb Coe, Scott Powelson, Donna Delano, and I suspected that the Gilchrist’s, Stephen Eichler JD, Tim Bueler, Tommy Crenshaw JD, and a few others committed. Gilchrist and others have since tried to convolute by posting lies and trying to extort all of the Movement into silence, lest any one else gets sued or beat to heck like we have been. Gilchrist and eichler have been known to call other leaders in the Movement and tell them they will sue them if they side with us…do you smell the acrid smell of ‘extortion’ in the air?
So glad everyone is breaking their silence, thank you so much, and special thanks to William Gheen for getting it all started Nationally! View the letter rebuking Gilchrist for his endorsement of Huckabee and various other reasons at www.ALIPAC.us, and watch a video tape called “Adios Gilchrist” by Brook at www.ImmigrationWatchDog.com, or read what Mark Edwards has to say at www.TheWakeUpAmerica.com and read how TruthBrigade.com and BorderGuardians.com have stuck up for the Board of Directors as they bring suit against Gilchrist.
But guess what? The evidence is all on our side.
And you know why we take it? Because we are RIGHT, and they will all be exposed, as well as their henchmen.
The Board of Director’s legally fired Bueler, then Eichler, and then Jim Gilchrist last January 26, 2007, with 3 of 7 members. Per the Legal Librarian at the Library of Congress, one third IS quorum, and three of seven is 43%. Why? Because in Delaware, a Not For Profit, or Non Stock Corporations have a harder time pulling it’s Board Members together because they are typically not paid, so in order to get business to move forward, the threshold for conducting business has been lowered.
I guess this means we also legally fired Perry Emerson and Jack Sharpe AKA Jim Gilchrist, who posts under these psuedonyms.
Gilchrist is done. Quorum is his argument, and quorum we have, so the sooner we get him out of the way, as should have happened last January, the sooner the thievery of $40,000 to $70,000 per month will stop.
Until he files another frivolous Motion to Dismiss, the next Court date is scheduled for 4/25 as a Mandatory Court Settlement at 8:30 am and then we go to trial on May 27th at 9:00 am. You can follow this drama online at http://www.occourts.org/caseinfoapps.asp
The Board of Director’s cordially invites everyone to attend!
Best Wishes and Merry Christmas,
Deborah Courtney, Treasurer

When Jim Gilchrist ran as an AMERICAN INDEPENDENT PARTY (California affiliate iof the CONSTITUTION PARTY nationwide) congressional candidate in an Orange county special election awhile back, I supported him and worked many long hours in his campaign. Jim is a nice guy and a great patriot BUT, he has no political savy and he now surrounds himself with too many “neo-cons” in the republican party. Big mistake! He is now flirting with the devil. This endosement by him, for the phoney baloney Huchabee will be another one of his many ‘blunders’. But look at Tancredo! Tancredo has endorsed the phoney baloney Mit Romney!
I am not really surprised by all of this. Politicians in the two so-called majority parties tend to have a habit of selling their souls and giving each other backslap favors all the time. THAT is WHY there is a CONSTITUTION PARTY…”principle over politics”. Oh yeah, remember Bush supports Romney! What does THAT tell you?! -Larry Breazeale, Msgt. (ret.) USAFR,Vice Chairman of the National Veteran Coalition of the Constitution party.
