George Phillies, God and the Constitution

Libertarian Party presidential hopeful George Phillies hit some non-traditional libertarian media with his recent release about swearing a presidential oath of office on a copy of the Constitution, as opposed to swearing in on the Bible.

Volunteer Voters called it “a bold declaration.” The Austin-American Statesman covered the release, as did the Wall Street Journal. An Arkansas Times editorial considers Phillies “a smart man, and a good American.” The editors think the Republican Party could use someone like George Phillies.
