"Why would an Indpendent American Party (aka-Constitution Party) member have anything favorable to say about Mitt Romney? Romney goes against pretty much everything for which your party stands."

Because while his politics disgust LDS Constitutionalists, nevertheless, he is a moral man and lives up to the standards of his faith, that can't be disputed, unlike his politics.
I must admit that I myself like the idea of having a LDS in the White House, but still, I wrote in Ron Paul's name on the AIP ballot when I voted on Super Tuesday. I had the earlier chance to reregister GOP and vote for Romney, but I did not.

Thanks to all those IAP members who did temporarily switch to support Ron Paul in Nevada. It made a difference as you will see when the convention delegations is finally chosen. Ron Paul took the bulk of the delegates picked at these precinct caucuses and with Mitt dropping out will be in position to control the delegation entirely.

See, it wasn't so hard to switch for someone like Ron Paul. Now you can switch back to IAP and continue to build the party and work in alliance with Ron Paul Republicans.

The problem with doing that is a Third Party can loose Ballot position, if it looses enough regristrated voters to its party.

"matt Says:

Being embarrassed that one attends the same church as folks one disagrees with is a long, disturbing road with nothing good at the end of it, Andy.

I’m certainly not happy that my dad voted for effing Huckabee (despite my best efforts), but I’d in no way conflate that with the idea that my dad is a bad individual."

My point was that Cody seemed to take some pride in the fact that Mitt Romney is a member of the same religion as him, as if this overrides the fact that IN PRACTICE, Mitt Romney is not a good guy and is far from Cody on the political spectrum. I was questioning why Cody would have any pride in being associated with a weasel like Mitt Romney in any way.

"I also admit to fond feelings towards Governor Mitt Romney’s presidential bid. Though I did not agree with him about perpetuating the war in Iraq or the prospects of nationalizing medical care, I do see him as an intelligent and moral man whose presidency might have even brought favorable attention to my church."

Why would an Indpendent American Party (aka-Constitution Party) member have anything favorable to say about Mitt Romney? Romney goes against pretty much everything for which your party stands. Are you really that shallow that all somebody has to do is go to the same church that you go to (or say that he goes to the same church as you) and that automatically makes him a good guy. Give me a freakin' break!

Romney is an immoral traitorous lying weasel lowlife piece of trash! You should be EMBARASSED that Romney attends the same church as you.

It'll be interesting to see how much the IAP benefits from Romney's drop/their support of Paul.

But.. but... Romney did support timetables. He just didn't think they should be publicly known and talked about.
