For those of you who wish fast notification of breaking news or other items of interest to the third party and independent community, we’ve just started several ThirdPartyWatch e-mail lists.
MEDIA
This list is for media announcements of breaking stories or issues dealing with third parties, independent or third party candidates which are of national interest. This list won’t be used except in cases where the candidate or political party is engaged in some activity of of national interest or consequence. The intent is to keep the use of this e-mail list low volume, but to have it available when news of interest becomes available.
Libertarian Party
This list will periodically be used to provide information about Libertarian Party candidates, activities and events. It will also be used to inform the reader of the occasional breaking news story from ThirdPartyWatch which would be of interest to the typical Libertarian Party member.
Green Party
This list will periodically be used to provide information about Green Party candidates, activities and events. It will also be used to inform the reader of the occasional breaking news story from ThirdPartyWatch which would be of interest to the typical Green Party member.
Constitution Party
This list will periodically be used to provide information about Constitution Party candidates, activities and events. It will also be used to inform the reader of the occasional breaking news story from ThirdPartyWatch which would be of interest to the typical Constitution Party member.
Independents
This list will periodically be used to provide information about independent candidates, as well as their activities and events. It will also be used to inform the reader of the occasional breaking news story from ThirdPartyWatch which would be of interest to the typical independent voter.

Will the email lists contain the same articles as TPW (which I get in RSS feed) or something different?

ENM,
It will probably take a bit before anything comes out with these lists, as it will take some time to develop them.
On occaision, they might be used to let people know of some major breaking story which is covered at TPW. An example might be “Governor Jones Switches to Libertarian Party” or “John Stewart interviewed at TPW.”
Some uses might be more promotional, such as “Green Party Presidential Debate Livestreamed at TPW,” or to announce or sponsor third party presidential debates.
Some uses might be for information gathering purposes, such as developing lists of third party candidates and such.
The first step is to get the lists large enough to be useful.

Thanks, Stephen. I’ll go ahead and subscribe, to help you grow the lists.
Incidentally, I sent out an internal memo regarding LFV, but your email bounced for some reason. If you can provide me with an alternate email address, I’d be happy to re-send it.
