Miller Politics interviews Chuck Baldwin

Miller Politics interviewed Constitution Party personality Chuck Baldwin. To begin, here’s his answer about whether he plans to jump into the presidential race:

“I am very honored that anyone would suggest that I should be considered as the CP presidential candidate. There are many great people in our party that, in my opinion, are much more qualified than I am. I have always tried to be open to God’s will. At this time, however, I have no inclination that this is God’s will for me.”

About a possible Alan Keyes presidential nomination:

“Alan Keyes and I are friends. I believe Dr. Keyes needs to clarify his foreign policy positions for the party. And I am sure he will be able to successfully accomplish that task. He is a great American and, in my opinion, has the potential to be a great candidate for our party.”

About the possibility of Bob Barr jumping into the already crowed field of Libertarian Party presidential candidates:

“I know Bob Barr personally. I like him very much. On policy issues, we agree on many, if not most, issues. He had a stellar voting record as a member of Congress. I think he would would be a very attractive candidate for the Libertarian Party.”

    Looks like it.

  3. Kevin Thompson Says:

I am dissappointed Pastor Baldwin will not be running himself this time round. Oh well. Looks like I will have to settle for Keyes.

  4. NewFederalist Says:

A real shame Baldwin couldn’t get Moore to run. Keyes will not work out especially if Barr runs on the LP ticket.

  5. Brent Burk Says:

    Baldwin>Keyes.

    Barr CP+LP ticket? Plz?

  6. Trent Hill Says:

Keyes and Moore are good friends, and the VP candidate in the CP has never done much active campaigning. So there is a slight possibility there.

  7. Sivarticus Says:

The CP should endorse Barr this time, if he runs. He will likely carry the Ron Paul stamp of approval, which ought to be very appealing for both Libertarians and CPers.

  8. Flo Says:

I like Barr/ Baldwin Keyes has run too many times and won’t get the time of day from the media. Barr is very well known and Chuck Baldwin is fantastic!

I think a lot of Ron Paul supporters could get behind these two.

  9. BigBoa Says:

The Keyes-ers are using the CP party as a desperate attempt to get more recogniztion about AK:

“In that respect, they’re useful idiots for spreading the word about Alan. All we need to do then is add our comment to direct people to Alan’s website.”

  10. Hugh Says:
