Are these times Central?
I am particularly looking forward to exchanges between Root and Gravel. It’ll also be interesting to see how Ruwart performs in a debate setting.

Our campaign will also be filming the debate for public distribution.

Yep, Central—the first show comes on in 15 minutes.

Skyler, see if you can improve the audio & video over LPNJ/PA taping. We stepped up to the handmic which was laying on a table. I think that depreciated the audio. & the videocamera was pretty far away too which seemed to decrease the clarity. & a wider angle lens might help; oh yeah, never mind that. There will only be 6 of the 16 there. Supposedly the top contenders. The Showcase material. Leaving out top contenders Kubby & Jackson which would be 8. (1/2). Just a little amateur helpful criticism.

Brought to you by a guy who wears ‘jeans’ to debate his fellow POTUS candidates…Homer Simpson anyone?

Dave Williams, sorry, you have me at a disadvantage. I don’t know much about Homer Simpson.

A presidential exploratory committee is almost enough of a hedge for me to not include Mr. Barr in the ranked choice voting demonstration election I’m administering, but I’ve added him at the link accompanying this post.
If I’m persuaded otherwise, I’ll take him off the list of prospective nomineess until he commits more fully as I understand the other listed Libertarian presidential candidates are.

Yeah, it is a little late for an “exploration” isnt it?
April 5th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
In any event he’s pulling a Ron Paul= getting a LOT of $ support from libertarians.
April 5th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
= TAKING a lot of libertarian support from the REAL/declared LP candidates.

Skyler, let us know when the videos are out, because I’d like to see as well as hear the candidates. I’m hoping the audio is clearer as well, because I’m having a hard time hearing some of what the candidates are saying on the audio-only format.

It’s come to my attention that votes for some of the candidates who entered the race after the demonstration election I created at DemoChoice.org were not being added to the totals. So I’ve restarted the demonstration election with all the candidates included from the most recent listing, discontinued the prior demonstration, and set a termination for the demonstration one day earlier: May 25, 2008.
The demonstration election is unscientific, but I’m administering it to promote alternative voting systems and give observers some sense of the comparative and shared support among LP presidential candidates.
The link to vote in this demonstration election accompanies this post, but it is:
http://www.demochoice.org/dcballot.php?poll=LPPres2008
The results of the first demonstration election were:
None Of The Above (NOTA) 24 (48.0%)
Steve Kubby 26 (52.0%)
None of these 2
Results
Steve KubbyElected
None Of The Above (NOTA)Defeated
The first round results of the discontinued poll were:
Round 1
None Of The Above (NOTA) 19 (36.5%)
Steve Kubby 10 (19.2%)
George Phillies 9 (17.3%)
Christine Smith 5 (9.6%)
Wayne Allyn Root 4 (7.7%)
Gene Chapman 1 (1.9%)
Dave Hollist 1 (1.9%)
Robert Milnes 1 (1.9%)
Mike Jingozian 1 (1.9%)
Barry Hess 1 (1.9%)
