It was foolish.
Was it factually correct? I’ll not speak [...]

Just hours after falling short in his bid for the Constitution Party’s Presidential nomination, former US Ambassador Alan Keyes sat down with Mike Ferguson to discuss his thoughts on the events of the party’s convention, the state of America and his political future.
Dr. Keyes made [...]

I appreciate Trent Hill, Mike Ferguson and Stephen Gordon’s eyewitness coverage of the Constitution Party convention. I thought folks might be interested in other media’s reporting. The Muskegon Chronicle ran a story today on Mad Max Riekse who is seeking the vice-presidential nomination. The St. Joseph News-Press ran a story [...]

I’m here covering the event for the Kansas City Metro Voice, for Third Party Watch and for my online TV show, “Missouri Viewpoints”.
There are about 250 delegates here in Kansas City. I’m guessing there are probably around 100 other attendees as well – there’s a great deal of people moving around during and [...]

From the Libertarian Party:

“FBI Chief Robert Mueller was correct when he said we are losing the war on child pornography,” says Libertarian [...]

John McCaslin reports that Bob Barr will be a guest at the 2008 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. In a different article, McCaslin reports the following:
Former Republican congressman and rumored 2008 Libertarian Party candidate for president Bob Barr was seen huddling with pundits and leaders of various state-based center-right and libertarian think tanks and [...]

My best guess is that Keyes will not win the Constitution Party presidential nomination because of his foreign policy position, but his speech at the Constitution Party Convention was delivered so well, I’m sure he’ll pick up some extra support because of it. Audio link here.

It looks like the wasted vote argument American third parties have to combat just arrived on the other side of the big pond. About the newly formed UK Libertarian Party:
“Regardless, I think that a vote for the Libertarian Party is a wasted vote. Those who agree with broadly libertarian principles of lower taxation and [...]

From Joe Rothstein:
Consider this scenario:
—After the last primary election votes are counted in South Dakota and Montana June 3 just enough superdelegates declare for Obama to insure his nomination by the thinnest of margins.
—Hillary Clinton claims that the decision to exclude the Florida and Michigan delegations has distorted the nominating process and that the only [...]

I’v been at the convention for 5 hours now, and already too much has happened to possibly include in this post, at least not without boring the masses. I arrived at 2p.m. central and explored the convention’s offerings. The many tables outside the doors show just how conservative this group is. Everything from the National [...]

Dave Weigel just interviewed Mike Gravel. Having spent some time with Gravel a couple of weekends ago and knowing Weigel pretty well, I can certainly imagine the facial expressions and other nuances during this exchange:
GRAVEL: Who would I be a good vice presidential pick for? I don’t know if the Libertarian Party has had, [...]

From the Root for America campaign (presumably about this topic):
Our campaign is disappointed and saddened to have learned about statements attributed to Mary Ruwart. As a result of these statements we feel that is appropriate for Mary Ruwart to immediately withdraw from consideration for president and/or vice-president.

From the Constitution Party:
Responding to news that former Reagan administration official Alan Keyes has officially left the Republican Party, Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer applauded the move and extended Keyes an invitation to become part of the fastest-growing third party- the Constitution Party.
“You can almost hear a nationwide standing ovation. Ambassador Keyes joins [...]
