His response to the first scenario reminds me of when Joe Biden told a supporter in 1987, “I probably have a higher I.Q. than you do” (or something along those lines).

If Mike is answering a call it’s not mine cuz he owes me $1000.00 for work done on his campaign. It’s been 6 months of begging & I’m fed up. ASK Mike Gravel why he thinks he can still fly around the country & claim he can’t pay his debts because he is broke. Mike Gravel has stolen from my family & I think the public needs to know he’s not the kind compassionate man he plays on T.V.

Becky, do you care to give more information? Since you didn’t leave a link (and I mean this with all sincere respect) for all we know you are someone from another campaign just making it up, to make Gravel look bad. This close to the convention, we can’t discount that possibility.
If your complaint is real and you’d be willing to give information to substantiate it, I’d like to cover it for Last Free Voice (and of course I will also contact the Gravel campaign for response).

Mike Gravel has almost 10,000 votes in North Carolina (he wasn’t taken off the Democratic ballot). And he’s not even a Democrat anymore! And only 70% of the votes are in!
This man definitely has a loyal base of supporters. Even with such a tight, important race between Hillary and Obama, 0.8% of the voting public in this state chose him. He hasn’t campaigned for it, he’s gotten no media exposure, and he’s not even in the party, but still he got almost 1% of the vote!

I’ll contact you right now. I am definately not from another campaign. I was the Nevada State director until 2 mths ago. I organized here in Las Vegas since Spetember 2007. I’ve really fought internally about going public with this. Mike used to be my hero. I am not the only one he owes money to either.
