Sorry, Austin. This is a legitimate news story and, thus, has no place at TPW anymore. Didn't you get the memo?

BEN GRABER IS A CENTRIST CANDIDATE WHO SUPPORTS A TIMELY END TO THE WAR, WANTS TO BRING OUR TROOPS HOME, OUR JOBS HOME, SECURE OUR BORDERS AND HAVE SANE IMMIGRATION POLICY( NOT AMNESTY). HE SUPPORTS A FREE MARKET STRATEGY THAT ALSO SAFEGUARDS OUR JOBS AND SMALL BUSINESSES. HE IS PRO CHOICE AND IS AGAINST THE LOSS OF PRIVACY THAT HAS OCCURRED WITH THE PATRIOT ACT. WEXLER HAS SERVED TOO LONG AND HAS A DISMAL RECORD. LONG ON RHETORIC, SHORT ON ACCOMPLISHMENT.
HAVEN'T YOU HAD ENOUGH OF WEXLER YET? VOTE FOR CHANGE YOU CAN TRUST...BEN GRABER www.graberforcongress.com

1976 Libertarian Presidential candidate Roger MacBride was a longtime friend of US Senator Connie Mack, and considered him to be a libertarian Republican.

Wonder if Mack, Jr. has any libertarian leanings?

"but he’s instead filed to run as an independent. Apparently feeling that a higher turnout November election, open to all voters, would benefit him."

That's a very interesting observation. Encouraging for minor party and indie candidates. Especially for the libertarian conservative and constitutionalist conservatives; if Obama get the Dems nod the indie left won't be able to get a quarter million votes between them.

I mean, as long as Obama does not tack too far to the right for the general campaign. Even then; too many seemingly sane people I know are going to vote for Obama in Nov out of devotion. That was "devotion", not democracy.
