The “War” as Bennett calls end ended in 2004 when two GIs pulled over a dusty rug and out popped Saddam Hussein, scraggly and waving a pistol in the air. The very moment he was captured is the very moment the War ended.

Now if Bennett wants to attack American humanitarian efforts to assist the Iraqi people to help them establish a peaceful Democracy that’s one thing. But saying the Democrats need to “end the War” just displays how ignorant he is.

Hey Bennett, WE CAUGHT SADDAM HUSSEIN WAY BACK IN 2004. Unless you were in a coma all that time, you don’t get a pass.

He also does not live in your district, he’s running in the third district, not the second.

I respect what Kevin Barrett has done in regaurds to 9/11 Truth, the wars in Afganistan and Iraq, and civil liberties, but GE is correct to point out that this guy is not a real libertarian. I don’t think that he’s as bad as Robert Milnes though.

As a UW faculty member, I publicly spoke out against firing Barrett, but I do regard him as a crank. The LP cannot without disgrace be associated with him. If they do run him, my wife and I will both most likely quit the party (and I first joined in 1976).

Says Mr. Barrett: “I’m all in favor of Social Security. I think it is one of the rare government programs that has raised our quality of life… Did you know that Bill Gates earns millions of dollars a year, but doesn’t pay a penny of Social Security tax on almost all of his earnings? I think Bill Gates should pay Social Security taxes like everybody else. If he did, maybe the rest of us wouldn’t have to pay so much.”

If he hasn’t been nominated yet, he shouldn’t be.
