Several Libertarian Party Presidential Candidates Sign Libertarians For Justice Pledge
Dear Fellow Libertarians,
On April 19th, the Libertarians for Justice Caucus officially launched its new website – www.LibertariansforJustice.org.
Presidential Candidates, Mary Ruwart, Mike Gravel, Michael Jingozian, Daniel Imperato and Steve Kubby have already signed the pledge.
These Candidates have all been invited to speak at our Opening Night Celebration at the Libertarian Party National Convention on Thursday, May 22nd. Plan to arrive in Denver on Thursday to attend this FREE event for delegates!
Many of the State Chairs have also shown their support by signing the pledge. Add your name to the list today.
If you are a Candidate for the Libertarian National Committee please e-mail me to have your name added to our website. We will be posting the names of the national candidates that have signed the pledge soon.
Please visit our website to watch our short (5 minute) video, sign the Justice Pledge, and help bring justice to the terrorists. Look for your favorite candidate’s name to see if they support seeking justice.
Below is a letter that is circulating on the internet explaining a little about Libertarians for Justice.
Thanks for your help. The victims have waited too long for justice.
If you’d like to discuss the issue, visit our booth at the convention, or email me or phone us (contact information is on our website).
In liberty seeking Justice for all,
Beth Duensing

Dear Fellow American,
More than 6 years after the terrorist attacks on September 11th, those responsible have still not been brought to justice. And, the 9/11 Commission did not even look at the unprecedented collapse of building 7.
Usama Bin Laden has not been apprehended and the FBI has no hard evidence linking him to the attacks.
If it brings just one terrorist to justice, we need to conduct a full and complete investigation into the attacks of September 11th. The Republicans and Democrats have not and will not allow that to happen while they are in power. Or it would already be done.
We saw the unfair treatment Ron Paul got from the Republican Party. The same was true of Kucinich and Gravel’s treatment by the Democratic leadership. So change must come from outside these organizations.
The Libertarian Party is America’s Third Party. Ron Paul was our Presidential nominee in 1988.
Dylan Avery, director of Loose Change, was the keynote luncheon speaker at the 2008 Libertarian State Chairs Conference, held in Las Vegas Nevada. Much of the leadership of the Libertarian Party respectfully listened to Dylan’s research, asked him difficult questions, and many eyes were opened to the need for a new investigation into the attacks of 9/11.
www.LibertariansForJustice.org is the online portal for the growing movement within the Libertarian Party to finally get a real investigation for the Jersey Girls, for the first responders, for every victim and relative, and for the American people. Because all of us deserve justice for the attacks on 9/11.
The Libertarian Party has Congressional, Senatorial, and Presidential candidates on the ballot in 2008 who are all calling for a new investigation into the attacks on 9/11 until we are sure beyond a reasonable doubt that the terrorists have been brought to justice.
Please go to www.LibertariansForJustice.org, watch the short video explaining our common cause, and sign the Justice Pledge demanding a new investigation.
In liberty, with eternal vigilance,
Jim Duensing
2008 Candidate for U.S. Congress (NV-1)

Happy to help in what ways I can.
Jim Duensing still owes me a prank from the cheerleader episode in Vegas
May 9th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
I think Jim owes you a cheerleader.
May 9th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
Okay, are you calling for another government agency to study this or are you calling for Congress to do this? Who will pay for this? Granted the first responders deserve better, but are you wanting to prove that the government was involved with 9/11? Even with a full scale study, people still won’t think that the government was not involved. Many think the moon landings are phony and JFK was killed by the CIA etc.
May 9th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
I apologize, I failed to sign my name to your thank you Paulie. I don’t know anything about the cheerleader “incident” in Las Vegas. I am guessing that I may not want to know.
Beth
To Bill Wood:
We want justice. Simple as that. We want the truth. We want those responsible to pay. The families deserve no less.
The only way to provide this is to hold an open and public Congressional inquiry with full subpoena powers.

If these guys can stay away from controlled demolition theories and stick to hard facts, that’ll be not just a wonderful addition to the party, but a wonderful addition to the truth movement as well. I can only hope that it doesn’t end up like most of the truth movement, being derailed from the purpose of truth by self-back-patting and cult-like devotion to wild theories.
May 9th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Hi Beth.
Actually, the cheerleader incident was tame. Actually it was SD, not LV.
I was sitting by the pool when Jim called me back.
He asked “what is all that noise in the background?”
I said “there are a bunch of noisy cheerleaders in the pool”
He got all excited and made haste to get to the hotel. Meantime I went upstairs to the hospitality suite (Phillies, I think).
Jim gets there all in a huff and he says all hurt like
“They are high school! You didn’t tell me that!”
Of course I didn’t tell him they weren’t, but he naively assumed they must have been college or pro.
Of course, “noisy cheerleaders” conveys to me kids, and I had no intention of leading him to think otherwise.
If they had been college or pro, I would have tried getting in the pool and probably would not have taken the call.
But he vowed to prank me back. Although I did not set out to prank him, LOL.

Most of the energy and a lot of $ came from the “truthers”. The Paul campaign wouldn’t have been as near successful without them. They can be a tremendous help to any third party campaign. Exclusion is the path to continued failure…

Calling for increased Federal bureaucracy to investigate 9/11 Troofer theories until the end of time = GOOD.
Calling for increased Federal communication with State authorities to investigate child pornography = BAD.
I couldn’t make this stuff up… and those who do are pretty much making it up as they go.

Nobody is talking about increased Federal bureaucracy to investigate 9/11. The Federal bureaucracy “investigating” (ie-whitewashing) 9/11 was the problem. What part of independent investigation don’t you understand?

I went to both. Although the second night I was told that they were not having it again downstairs, but found out a little late they were hanging out down there anyway.
I left right after that because we were staying at another motel and my ride was leaving, or I would have hung out more.

Bill,
How many of the people on your list were under oath?
How many of the people on your list had first hand knowledge of the events of the day?
Speculation and conversations are not the same as an investigation. Popular Mechanics is not impartial.
May 11th, 2008 at 5:55 am
This is not my list, this is a list of experts that Popular Mechanics consulted in their investigation about 9/11. If you want to know something like “What would make a building collapse?” I think you’d want to talk to someone who is an expert in that field. I wouldn’t think any of them were under oath, however, do you think they would lie if that would mean they would lose creditablity in which that could ruin their business? You claim Popular Mechanics and you’d have to include the over 300 experts they talked to as not being impartial or are you saying anyone that doesn’t answer the questions the way you want them answered are “covering” up the truth.
Again I would favor another investigation. “The truth will set you free” if you can handle the truth.
May 11th, 2008 at 7:42 am
Have you read David Ray Griffin’s book?
Debunking 9/11 Debunking; An answer to Popular Mechanics and other Defenders
Or Read Physics Professor Steven Jones recently published peer reviewed article in The Open Civil Engineering Journal? Fourteen Points of Agreement with Official Government Reports on the World Trade Center Destruction
Dr. Jones has given me permission to print and share this article – here’s a link. http://www.bentham-open.org/pages/content.php?TOCIEJ/2008/00000002/00000001/35TOCIEJ.SGM
Popular Mechanics articles are simply other peoples opinions. The above articles are other peoples opinions. An investigation is needed to get to the facts. Those responsible for the events of the day, and the eyewitnesses, need to be put under oath and their statements proven. Then we will have the truth.
I believe that only Congress has the power to put President Bush and Vice President Cheney under oath. Wouldn’t you like to know why Dick Cheney did not follow the order to shoot down the plane headed for the Pentagon?
Norman Mineta’s testimony http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip4rUYJdhBk
Your opinion and mine are irrelevant. We do not have the facts. I want the facts not opinions.
An investigation that, asks questions, and demands answers until We the People are sure beyond a reasonable doubt that the terrorists have been brought to justice.
Until there is Justice there will not be peace.
May 11th, 2008 at 7:58 am
Forgot to mention Architect Richard Gage
http://www.ae911truth.org/
You asked about experts in the field of building collapse. I would think that many of the architects and engineers at this site qualify as experts.
Put them under oath!
I’d like to hear Professor George Phillies explain again how it is simple “freshman physics” that allowed the WTC building to defy Newton’s laws of motion.
Newton: I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.
You know the tower that had 30 or so floors tipping on about a 20 degree angle just before the building fell out from under it. When the building began to disintegrate, somehow the weight of all those 30 floors were pulled back into alignment so that they fell straight down.
How about it George? Can you explain that to me a little more clearly? The video of the debate question is online. I will have to find it again to post it here. The video with this question and response is from the State Chairs conference in Vegas.

Another investigation would be useful only if it would finally make the 9/11 “Truth”ers shut the hell up.
Support from the 9/11 “Truth” movement: the kiss of death, the condemnation to the eternal fringe.
Making this a political issue would be a poor choice.
May 11th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
The Libertarian Party needs to get practical.
Let’s say you’re in a politcal party, and you find out the leaders of another political party committed mass murder.
Just ignore it, and make fun of the people who thinks that’s an issue.
Yea, that’s a practical way to stay on the politcal fringe.
May 11th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Libertarians 4 Justice says, “As far as I know, L4J is about asking questions, not promoting any particular theory.”
Rolf Lindgren says, “Let’s say you’re in a politcal party, and you find out the leaders of another political party committed mass murder.
Just ignore it, and make fun of the people who thinks that’s an issue.”
There’s the problem. It’s not just about asking questions. If we had an independent investigation and it still turned up nothing, would the 9/11 Truth movement disappear? I seriously doubt it.
Because they already know the answer they’re looking for.
May 12th, 2008 at 12:38 am
Paulie,
Thanks for posting this here. Looking forward to seeing you again in Denver. Seems like years ago we were having breakfast every day during the signature drive at No Worries.
I hesitate to say this here, given the flak over my stand for UFO/ET disclosure (as part of a broader call for whistle blower protection, routine Congressional hearings for whistle blowers, lifetime protection based on the dollar amount saved from federal spending, etc) – —but I doubt you or some others will be surprised to find I’ve been a full member of both Scholars for 9/11 Truth, and Scholars for 9/11 Truth&Justice since 2005.
See:
http://twilightpines.com//index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=35
http://stj911.org/members/index.html
I have several pilot friends for major airlines, some who fly trans pacific routes, who are 100 percent certain that something other than a commercial airliner hit the Pentagon, that no pilot could have done the turn indicated on radar, cleared the fence, while keeping the engines above ground level (they did not gouge the grass), or been stable that close to the ground and hit the building in the first floor—or that WTC 7 fell into its own footprint without ever having been hit by a plane and after only 3-4 hours of fires, no matter how large, etc, etc.
I find professor Steven Jones, who was fired (“retired”) from Bringham Young University only a few days after President Bush visited the Mormon Church leaders in SLC, quite credible.
Everyone should read his research, IMO.
Best,
Joe

As a process question, given Beth’s quotation
“We want justice. Simple as that. We want the truth. We want those responsible to pay. The families deserve no less.
The only way to provide this is to hold an open and public Congressional inquiry with full subpoena powers.”
Is every radical Libertarian who signs off on the L4J petition willing therefore to admit that all objections to subpoena power in the 6th Amendment have now been dropped?
It’s important, because if Congress has the legitimate right to subpoena witnesses and initiate force to compel their appearance in this case, then both Congress and the Court system have the right to do so in all cases.
That would seem to be a major contradiction for radical Libertarians.

The 9/11 Truth Movement is now many times larger than the Libertarian Party and is growing much faster than the Libertarian Party. If every 9/11 Truther in this country voted Libertarian in the 2008 election the Libertarian Party would recieve a record setting number of votes.
9/11 Truthers are anti-war and pro-civil liberties and are already skeptical of government. They are ripe picking for the Libertarian Party.
