"Whoever this Andy is, he’s not me, as in the one who usually posts on this forum.

Anyway, LOL over this video! Mike Gravel has got a great sense of humor. Too bad he’s not a real libertarian."

Sorry I'll change my name from now on. Didn't realize there was another person who used that name.

What do you base your comments of Gravel on? Candidates aren't going to agree with a party on every single issue. It is the big ones that matter.

"Andy Says:

It was definitely a good time. I’m glad I got to hear Senator Gravel speak and learn more about his positions. I definitely left the meeting with a different opinion of him.

He talked about the very important issue of promoting a message that Americans can get behind. Hopefully he is able to turn as many people during the National Convention."

No, I'm not mocking Burns. I like the guy. I actually urge him to become involved with the LP on a national level and maybe write a book about libertarianism. I'd support him for VP if we didn't have all these big names. Sorry, but it's our time to shine.
BTW, I was just happy to see him getting a straw poll vote. Waiting for my guy Milnes's turn. ( :

Mike, Jim Burns is actually a pretty good guy and a strong libertarian, and had we not had some big names decide to join the race this year, would've been a viable vice-presidential candidate.

Indeed! Senator Gravel was a wonderful presence at our WV state convention. We had a very good time, and I was delighted that he joined us and spoke with our delegation, and had dinner with Jim Lark, Kirsten Milligan, some other third party folks here in the state, and my wife and I after the close of the convention.

Of all of our candidates, I think Senator Gravel possibly brings to the table the most new ideas in addition to obvious name recognition and likeability. The fact that a lot of these new ideas seem to me like good ideas is always a positive, as well. His biggest liability, sadly, seems to be that there's a lot of bad information on his stances within our party. He;s absolutely not in favor of national socialist healthcare, for example, while I've heard many times even otherwise well-respected and intelligent individuals claim that he is.

Happy Birthday wishes to Senator Gravel!

I look forward to meeting him in Denver and supporting his candidacy at the convention.

HANDS DOWN the most formidable Libertarian candidate to take on Obama and McCain.

And check those older videos... Gravel was (and is) one HANDSOME dude. Far studlier than Obama, even Edwards.
