Greens nominate Polikoff for District 5 seat

Alex Polikoff of Corvallis received the Pacific Green Party’s nomination as candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Oregon’s 5th Congressional District at the party’s convention in Portland on Saturday.

Mr. Polikoff is a Registered Professional Engineer, “”Oregonians deserve a clear choice this November,” Polikoff said. “Most wish to end the spilling of blood and spending of our children’s inheritance to continue the occupation of raq. For fear of campaign ad attacks, both parties of congress have refused to stand against the administration.

“This must stop, and the ballot is the means to stop it.”

    Was that a state convention, or just a convention for that one US House district? If it was a state convention, what other candidates were nominated?
