Barr spokesman: It’s about choice, not about being a spoiler

Shane Cory, Bob Barr’s deputy campaign manager, told Cybercast News Service that the Libertarian presidential candidate is not approaching his presidential campaign in terms of whose race he will spoil. Instead, Cory said, Barr’s candidacy represents an additional option for American voters.

“You walk down your grocery store aisle, and you can get 75 different brands of cereal,” Cory stated. “Why is it that when you vote for president, you have to have two choices, Republican or Democrat?”

    SPEAKING OF SPOLIERS
“You walk down your grocery store aisle, and you can get 75 different brands of cereal,” he stated. “Why is it that when you vote for president, you have to have two choices, Republican or Democrat?”
    Why not pick Fruit Loops?
Barr promises to cut federal spending, abolish the Internal Revenue Service and replace all federal income taxes and payroll taxes with a consumption tax, such as a national sales tax.
What is fair about a consumption tax? Isn’t this just a new funding concept for the same old unconstitutional alphabetic federal government agencies and departments?
He supports a “speedy and complete withdrawal” from Iraq, and he has urged the government to develop domestic oil resources, including those in the Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve and on the Outer Continental Shelf.
Cory said Barr offers “actual, real change.”

And this is the LP standard bearer’s energy plan? Why does he believe that government can develop anything? Doesn’t he know that Government Doesn’t Work?

Oh yeah I forgot these are comments from Shane Corey, the same Shane Corey who as the LP’s national executive director issued a press release calling on more federal government in the fight against child pornography. But wait, wasn’t this press release just part of a plan to smear another candidate?

”Libertarians, however, know that government doesn’t work — even when it tries to do something we want. Government is coercion — pure and simple. Every government program involves forced activity, forcible prohibition, and/or forced financing — or else it wouldn’t be a government program. And there’s no way to make force efficient or benevolent; it’s just force. Thus libertarians are continually looking for ways to take functions — any functions — away from government, because they want to reduce government force to the absolute minimum possible. 4. Geoffrey the Liberator Says:

Oh my, and you actually spelled Mr. Cory’s name correctly? I must be mistaken—for you sir are not Disinter, you must be an imposter!

  5. disinter Says:

Shane Cory, Bob Barr’s deputy campaign manager,

Could barf possibly insult Libertarians any more? Shane Cory – that same asshole that smeared Ruwart prior to the convention using LP resources.

I don’t think Cory and I would be friends, however this is an OUTSTANDING statement and EVERY single Third Party member should use it regularly. The asses of the mases have to be educated that two choices for a political office is ripping them off and they DESERVE multiple choices in all political races including the POTUS race.

“You walk down your grocery store aisle, and you can get 75 different brands of cereal,” Cory stated. “Why is it that when you vote for president, you have to have two choices, Republican or Democrat?”
