Craig,

I believe Bob Barr has mentioned it in interviews. There's now also a press release:

Why doesn't the LP (and Bob Barr) call out Obama on his flip-flop on telecom immunity and the FISA bill?

The Barr campaign's chances has improved considerably to tap into the Clinton and especially Obama base, now that Obama and the majority of the senate has decided for FISA and in effect scrapping the 4th Amendment. They should go all out after disgruntled Obama supporters, which there definitely are. I listened to (former libertarian) Thom Hartmann's response on radio and he is quite depressed.

Travis-

I always try to point out how the democrats and republicans are the same: democrats and republicans both are opposed to free elections, democrats and republicans both favor stupid wars, democrats and republicans both are spending our grandchildrens futures like drunken Kennedy's, democrats and republicans both believe that homo-erotic torture will win the hearts and minds of a conquered people.

Jacob Hornberger used to say that democrats and republicans were like two rapists standing over their victim, sneering, and saying " we know you don't like what we did to you, but you have to kiss one of us".

I really could go on.

PEACE

Good news!

The Green Party has ZERO candidates on the Wisconsin ballot this fall, while the LP has several. The Constitution Party also has zero candidates because they lost ballot access (which is easy in Wisconsin).

I say this not because I wish the GP ill, but to show that the LP is in far better shape than the other Third parties in Wisconsin.

Don't the polls also show that "My congressman is fine, it is the other guys I'm dissatisfied with?" And if one drills down into the dissatisfaction with Congress you'll find umpteen different and contradictory answers to "what don't you like about Congress?" We'd probably love a 90% approval if Congress were made up of all Ron Pauls and hate a 90% approval if they were all Nancy Pelosis.

I've tried to explain this to people and it is always met with strange glances and comments. People don't understand that besides minor differences, the two party system causes political parties to gravitate towards each other in their beliefs. This is a logical outcome.
I find it interesting that we continue to vote for the same people when it is obvious that we are unhappy with their work. If it were a corporate job, they would be out on their butt. We need to change the establishment from the inside out. We need to not give jobs to people that we believe are doing a bad job. We are paying them to do what we don't want them to. How horrible, but how wonderful that there is another choice in Barr.
