I hope that Ms. McKinney can publicize the issue of where the missing trillion dollars from the Pentagon went. Rumsfeld was getting ready to make an issue of it until 9/11 came along.

Cynthia McKinney attended the same Junior High School as I did…which was actually in Los Angeles… Needless to say, I am very proud of her. She was a very good and very quiet student. Win, or Loose, she is an EXCELLENT presidential candidate; I have observed her career. However, I have always believed that TOO MUCH SIZZLE, and NOT ENOUGH FIRE, in any Third Party endeavour, will (as proven in the recent past) split the “Liberal Voter/Voters”, and cause the asshole-conservative-party candidate(s) to triumph. How do “we-the-people” manage and run a successful multi-party race? Also, congrats to Cynthia McKinney, who was one of the first Congressional Black Caucus Members to openly oppose the war in IRAQ —and sacraficed her seat for her beliefs. “Two-Thumbs-Up”

McKinney sat on her ass for a year and half and didn’t do what was necessary to put the Green Party on the ballot in North Carolina.

It was probably not possible. It may be hard for you to grok just how difficult ballot access in NC is.

Now the deadline has passed.

The Green Party and McKinney can’t be on the ballot in North Carolina.

McKinney can be a write-in candidate in NC, but even that takes a chunk of signatures. She’s definitely done the right thing coming here and encouraging the local party to get those sigs. It’s do-able, and they will do it, and I’m glad. One more choice!

There are however 35 other states where the Greens still have a chance and Mckinney could be there helping get signatures.

But she’s in North Carolina.

There are other considerations – although the write-in drive is enough, I think. I’m sure the Party here (I’m in NC) wants to use McKinney’s campaign as a means of growing their activist base, and no doubt that is what much of her visit was about.

Mr George Welch. NC requires 69,734 VALID signatures. The NC GP is a “paper state” party with a few dozen active members at most. The NC Green Party is listed on www.fec.gov as having an account balance of $0 throughout the 2007-2008 election cycle.

In light of these facts, perhaps, someone with your seemingly infinite wisdom could advise them on achieving ballot status.

More stupidity, anti Bush, anti Pelosi, anti war independent candidate, with the dumb, drug adled, shit eating grin, Cindy Sheehan has made out of district trips [IN CLUDING EGYPT!] while neglecting things in SF! She is going to end up as an international celebriety whom can not get elected [or even on the ballot] in her own neighborhood!

But Nader consistantly takes the ‘dumbest smart guy’ I know award. I can give you a DOZEN names of uncontacted folks whom have either worked on Nader slip and falls earlier or have volunteered for P2008!

Ya noticed that the P2004 abused volunteers have not reached out toward Nader P2008, and the new volunteers [still uncontacted] have not been roughed up by clumsy know it all Long Distance East Coast staffers. He deserves SO MUCH of the crap he receives! Sad to say!
