Who’s Chuck Baldwin? What administration is he referring to?
August 15th, 2008 at 7:21 am
His administration would look like an Al qaeda video?
August 15th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
Mr. Baldwin is as dishonest as he is slick…
His administration, he says, will protect the right to worship, or not to worship, because he believes in the 1st Amendment. Look, if you will, at the platform he is running on:
“This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
snip
“The goal of the Constitution Party is to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations…
snip
“The U.S. Constitution established a Republic rooted in Biblical law..
snip
Further on:
“We commend Former Chief Justice Roy Moore of the Alabama Supreme Court for his defense of the display of the Ten Commandments, and condemn those who persecuted him and removed him from office for his morally and legally just stand.”
I suppose I could take Reverend Chuck at his word that he will not seek to have me stoned to death as a non-believer, or others stoned because they work on Sundays or because they are disobedient children (Biblical law…Leviticus), but I think I’ll take a pass anyway.

You forgot this:
“The Constitution of these United States provides that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” The Constitution Party supports the original intent of this language. Therefore, the Constitution Party calls on all those who love liberty and value their inherent rights to join with us in the pursuit of these goals and in the restoration of these founding principles.”
Baldwin showed that he’s no Theocrat and all you can come up with is a taken-out-of-context CP platform for your pathetic Leftist rebuttal?
HA!

His administration would look like an Al qaeda video?
= Then again you must not know about Youtube; a Metallica music video to you would be a Al qaeda video.
August 15th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
Baldwin even has the voice of a televangelist.
August 15th, 2008 at 2:21 pm
“This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
As I have pointed out before, this is a paraphrase of a very famous quote by Patrick Henry. I take it Mr. Shuey has a beef with the great patriot Patrick Henry as well.
Plus, the quote has another thing going for it. It happens to be demonstrably true. This country was founded by Christians. The anti-Christian jihadists hate that fact, but it is no less true.
IMO, if this plank remains in 2012, and I hope it does, it should be placed in quotes and attributed to Patrick Henry.

Cody, Baldwin has shown us nothing but the fact that he is a Saudi-style totalitarian, not a Jeffersonian or constitutionalist.
August 15th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Red…
There is a difference between “being founded by Christians”, which is largely though not totally true, and being founded “on the Gospel of Jesus Christ” which is total hyperbole and demonstrably false.
Cody…
You ignorant schmuck! The last thing I am is a “leftist”. As a lifelong student of history and political science on the other hand, I am very aware of the half-truths and outright lies Mr. Baldwin and his un-Constitution party spread, hoping to snow rubes and dupes. Like you.

= And you suck big time at “exposing” them.
What next, are you going to call Constitutionalists “Little Eichmanns”?
Obviously your College has done more to dumb you down in politics then our government has.

hey I just wanted to know who he was and what has he accomplished in life. I know very little about how he would govern because he has no record of proving so.

Jason writes: “I know very little about how he (Baldwin) would govern because he has no record of proving so.”
May I inquire as to how much “record” Obama has in proving so? Very little. Yes, very little indeed.

Jason, the TPW article on Jerome Corsi endorsing Chuck Baldwin has a biography of Chuck.

Response : Stupidity is contagious as the stupid argument above is the typical one of a nitwit who ignores that it is because we are a Christian nation that others; even and especially nitwits; have the ability to worship as they wish. Anti-Christians rattle on with the same B.S. irregardless that it is the Christian faith that defends them.

Who has time to worry about social issues such as prolife versus abortion? Its a nonissue with the rate the national sovereignty is being signed away by congress and the presidency. There’s truth to the adage “The borrower is slave to the lender.” Nations which are sustained on debt decline and fall. Our dependence on foreign nations to supply us with money to run our government & money to fight our wars, dependence on foreign imports for energy, for food, for medicines, for even socks & shoes is rendering us incapable of acting independantly and uncoerced in foreign affairs and even in national policy. Increasingly there is foreign intervention in our domestic and internal affairs. These are warning signs that our nation is at risk. Social issues, our very freedoms, may soon be decided for us by those nations to whom we owe, and to those we sign away our sovereignty, the right to self rule, to. Big government must end. Government spending must be capped. The national debt must be paid down.
The American Dream which made our nation so unique is also in danger. The American Dream, the ability for someone of the lower socioeconomic class to rise up to the highest rungs of the social economic ladder was created and exists because of the very large middle class of this nation was able to bridge the social economic gaps. The middleclass of this nation is being robbed of its wealth. Their being expected to support millions of illegal aliens who do not earn enough to support the infrastructure they use while displacing lowerclass Americans out of jobs with their willingness to work for lower wages or off the books and ignorant of worker rights. The middleclass are being belittled for complaining about the artificial manipulation of the labor supply in the nation. Foreign companies are demanding the right to import foreign labor even if there aren’t enough jobs to employ all the workers, glutting the labor pools and driving middleclass wages down. Opportunistic American companies have also joined in the demand. Middle and lowerclass Americans are losing their jobs, having their wages lowered, lowering them socioeconomically. The gap between the rich and the middleclass is in danger of becoming insurmountable. The American people then might face all the hardships of any third world country without the promise of the American Dream.
Even if Chuck Baldwin wins the presidency, the Constitution Party still won’t have control of congress. However if he wins he just might be the wake up call for both dominant parties to ditch their current leadedrship which have abandoned all principles to form an alliance which has crippled this nation. Real change would definately happen. It definately won’t happen if Barack Obama or McCain win.
I cannot with any conscience look at my grandchild and vote for any Democrat or Republican. This nation was founded on sound principles which have been abandoned by those parties. I look to a party which promises to return to a government more in line with the founding fathers vision; one which will uphold the Constitution, who will protect the nations borders and ports, one who realizes that the right to the pursuit of happiness is intrinsic in our ability to support our families and protect the sovereignty our founders proclaimed in the Declaration of Independance. I look for a party which supports a policy of noninterventionism instead one of policing the world, of bribing world leaders, and/or nation building. I look to the Constitution Party and Chuck Baldwin. They have never flipflopped on their principles.
