I was legally elected Chairman of the American Independent Party of California in meetings held June 28 and 29 in Los Angeles, California. These meetings were lawfully held under under the guidelines of the California election code and the current bylaws of the American Independent Party of California.
A small group of dissenters have managed to hijack the current control of the largest third party in California by filing misleading documents with the California Secretary of State. Given a fair hearing in litigation we will see the control of this great party returned rightfully to the vast majority of active American Independent Party activists in support of my Chairmanship of this party. In deed every living former Chairman of this party supports me in this effort.
The faithful supporters of my Chairmanship should stay firmly entrenched in our battle for justice and their efforts will prevail. I will continue to lead this charge to justice without ceasing in the spirit of the founders of our republic who thank God prevailed in their efforts to achieve the great free republic we have today. Thank you for the support and your unrelenting persistence in this effort. Your spirit is uplifting and motivates me to lead this charge to victory.
In the meantime please write in Chuck Baldwin for President on your California ballot. The choice of socialism heavy or socialism lite is really no choice in candidates for President. Lets return our republic to the roots of freedom that has enabled us to become the greatest country in the world. May the strength of the Holy Trinity be with us in this effort.

A major item that is rarely mentioned is that the American Independent
Party is primariy a party of regular, middle class voters. As such, our
candidates do not recieve the large contributions that the other small
party candidates regularly receive from millionaire donors. When one
adjusts for that measure one sees that we are more competitive with
the other parties. If ANY of our State-wide candidates had $1,000,000.
in campaign contributions they would draw a far more respectable vote.
If Gov. Schwarzenegger signs the Bill for public supported funding for
the 2014 Sec. of State election then we'll see how well the AIP polls in
an election where the funding is more equlaized. That should once and
for all put to rest this bad-mouthing of the American Independent Party
of California.

The officers of the AIP our not corrupt

Response : The true officers of the AIP, Jim King and myself, are not corrupt. YOU, Mark Seidenberg, as one of the fake officers of the party ARE corrupt. YOU, directly working with Robinson and Noonan, filed fake papers with the Secretary of State office in order to deceive them regarding the actions of the party. YOU are at the heart of the corruption. Take your complaints to the Attorney Generals office. They will shortly be receiving the evidence regarding the criminal actions of you, Robinson, and Noonan.

It will be interesting to see how the Green vote is split between Nader and McKinney. With Ross Mirkarimi endorsing Obama I also wonder if he will take a number of the Greens as well.

To Dr. Don Grundmann

First, you hold no office in the American Independent Party. The last office
your held ended on September 2, 2008 and it was not that of Vice Chairman. I am the current Vice Chairman of the American Independent Party having been reelected at the state central committee meeting on July 6, 2008, in Sacramento, CA.

The Chairman's name of the American Independent Party is Markham
Robinson, his first name is not Mark.

The officers of the AIP our not corrupt nor are they out to destroy the AIP.
As you can see the party has grown to over 334,000. Are current main project nof the AIP under the leadership of Chairman Robenson is the keep
John Sidney McCain III off the California Ballot, because he was born in
Colon, Republic of Panama (and not the Canal Zone) at 5:25 p.m. on
August 29, 1936. He is a citizen of Panama and not a natural born citizen of the United States.

The AIP is workig hard to elect Alan Keyes president of these United States. Save America, Elect Alan Keyes President of the United State.

Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman, American Independent Party

Unfortunately the AIP has suffered in recent years due to Ed Noonan, a completely corrupt former Chairman, and a current fake Chairman, Mark Robinson, who has claimed the Chairmanship by corruption equivalent to Noonan including the filing of false documents to deceive the Secretary of State office. The Republican funded efforts of Noonan, Robinson, and Mark Seidenberg to destroy the party have unfortunately been successful to this point. When these current corrupt and fake office claimants are removed in the months ahead the AIP will recover and achieve greater prosperity than it has ever achieved before. For this moment the party must unfortunately suffer under the weight of their corruption as they work to eliminate it from the California electoral scene.

I'll take Richard's word on this one, as he is the expert. Also, I added all the statewide results for 2006, to explain how P&F is still ballot-qualified.

This post gives an misleading description of California law. A party need only worry about the vote test in gubernatorial years. All parties get a free pass in presidential election years. The only way a party can go off the ballot in California after a presidential election, and before a gubernatorial election, is if its registration gets below one-fifteenth of 1%.

It's no wonder the LP is failing to increase voter regs in CA. This is the case since Sean Haugh screws up everything he touches, defrauds and harrasses lontime libertarian petitioners, and then shoddy results directly caused by his actions (since he hires mercenaries at a higher rate per valid signature, and pays a premium in expenses moving people around). With so much money being wasted by himself and Scott Kohlhaas on shoddy petitioning efforts (and malicious maligning of their competition), there is little money or talent left over to grow the LP (or the libertarian movement if the LP fails to remain a choice for liberty).

I suggest that Libertarian Party donors contribute to http://www.freedomballotaccess.org instead, and let the individual state parties get themselves on the ballot at half the cost, and with vastly more integrity and attention to detail.

For instance, if FBA raises as much money as Kohlhaas and Haugh spent on 2008 ballot access, every single state will get on the ballot AS "LIBERTARIAN PARTY CANDIDATES", not as "INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES".

Sean Haugh used his title of "LP National Political Director" in an attempt to blacklist and defame longtime libertarian activists who are personal enemies of his (through his choice, not theirs). This has cost the LP ballot access in three states and DC, and left little money for aggressive expansion of the LP. (Although Haugh and Kohlhaas made off quite well for themselves in 2008.)

It is no wonder to those with inside knowledge of the LP petitioning situation that the LP is shrinking in CA, where they are taken for granted.

If the LP's donors (and the donors of the other Nationwide third parties) wish to get on the ballot in EVERY state, then they should immediately contribute funds to http://www.freedomballotaccess.org

Anyone who contributes at FBA with the notice "BAN" (or "Ballot Access News" or "JW") entered into the notes/additional information field will purchase signatures without any fundraising fee being paid to anyone except the online credit card processor.

In this decentralized way, the Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party have the opportunity to purchase signatures at a dramatically reduced cost to the donor.

Let's not forget that in 2012, there will be a Libertarian running for president who supports jury nullification of law. I predict that this is going to be very important at that time.

Sincerely,

Jake Witmer
