Some of you TPW bloggers, Constitutionalists, and others who are paying attention to the situation in California are wondering what’s going on with the AIP website.
In a email from AIP member, Mike Triggs, this pretty much sums it up:
“It appears that the Noonan gang has registered a new domain, www.aip-ca.com
When you enter the “old” URL- [...]

Over the weekend, Third Party Watch was acquired from Stephen Gordon by Richard Viguerie.
Since taking over TPW, Stephen Gordon has done an outstanding job in increasing traffic to the site while creating a fair atmosphere for reporting on third party and independent politics around the nation.
The new owner, Richard Viguerie, intends to continue Stephen’s good [...]

While I’ve made it no secret that I’m a Bob Barr supporter, I often have to wear different hats with regard to politics and political media. These activities include publishing this site, serving as the chair of the Libertarian Party of Alabama as well as the Libertarian State Leadership Alliance. I also serve [...]

Greetings,
I’ve successfully completed my move to Nevada.
Besides getting involved with the IAP; finding a cheap place to live, and the social conditions in the state of California were the main factors in deciding on moving out of that state. I’m already registered with the Independent American Party itself and plan on attending many upcoming meetings [...]

I’m leaving on a jet plane, but I know I’ll be back on the 19th of February. I’ll be at the LSLA AKA State Chairs Conference, attending the LNC meeting and LP Bylaws Committee meeting. As normal at these sorts of events, I’ll try to bring you word of what’s going on at [...]

Dear TPW Reader:
Expect a few changes at TPW though the holiday season. Several new writers will soon be coming on board. As a Libertarian, sometimes it’s a difficult struggle to handle news from other political parties. Fortunately, people like Brad Winthrop, Cody Quirk and Anthony Distler cover a lot of what I [...]

In the two and a half years since I created Third Party Watch, it has amazed me how readership has steadily increased. A central news source for third party politics was something people really wanted, but just did not exist back in 2005. Unfortunately, as successful as this site has been, I just [...]

Hey folks, I don’t often strongly advocate for a candidate on here… but this situation is a little different. For months I’ve seen Arin Sime listed on the Libertarian Party’s website as a candidate for Virginia State Senate in November of 2007.
And all that time I largely ignored him because I assumed he was [...]

One of our sponsorship slots on the right is coming open and I decided to try something a little different. Instead of doing the flat monthly or multi-month sponsorship deals, I want to open it up to be a bit more flexible for people.
So for $2 per day your ad can appear here on [...]

Hi Everyone!
We have one sponsorship available for the site right now, and I’m offering a special deal… only $40 and your ad will run from now until November 1st. That’s a pretty good deal since our normal rates run $35/mo.
Alternatively you could sponsor the site for the remainder of the year for only $90… [...]

Every once in a while I ask, so it seemed like it was about time to do it again.
If you’re a reader of this site and you have your own blog, drop me an email and we can swap links. The blog needs to be somewhat relevant to this site, naturally.
My email is, as [...]

Well, not new, but new to this site.
Since Austin Cassidy started ThirdPartyWatch, I’ve always been a big fan of this site. As someone who’s been heavily involved in third party politics, it is frequently the first source to cover the news for which I’m looking. For stories missed by the mainstream media, often [...]

We have one ad slot available for the month of August. The price is $30 and if you get it to me via PayPal, I can have your ad running by tonight. This site has been averaging between 12k-18k unique visitors and 30k-50k pageviews per month.
The site has a very highly targeted readership [...]

Not to sound like a PBS pledge drive, but we’ve got 2 unsold spots for the month of June. They’re going at $35 each, which is really pretty cheap. I’d like to see if I can find sponsors for both of these slots in the next day or two.
As such, I’ll throw in [...]

Just wanted to “give a shout out” err… a plug… to a side project that myself and a few friends have started. It’s a multi-author, multi-topic blog called Mondito that has a much lighter tone than most of the other stuff I’ve been involved in. Kind of a mixture of talk about politics, [...]

If anyone out there is planning to attend a state or national convention or major meeting of a third party within the next few months, and would be interested in doing some reporting, please drop me an email with the details.
TPW might be willing to offer a small amount of compensation in exchange for written [...]

Hey everyone, I’ve got a couple of exciting announcements to make regarding Third Party Watch.
First off, I’ve decided that this site is now probably large and active enough to go ahead and drop the banner and pop-up ads. Instead I want to seek out a handful of direct sponsors who will pay between $25 [...]

I’ve had a few people ask if I’ve lost interest in TPW or slowed my posting on purpose. The truth is that I’ve been working as hard as I can on a City Council campaign here for one of my friends. The election is on Tuesday and it’s been taking almost all of [...]

Howdy everyone…
I mentioned a couple of days ago that I was working on a new website that would be relevant specifically to Libertarians. The project is, essentially, a Digg-inspired news site that allows anyone to register, submit stories, and then vote (based on quality) to determine what gets the most exposure.
Well, I think it’s [...]

We’ve got ourselves another new contributor in the form of Constitution Party member Cody Quirk. He’ll be along shortly to introduce himself.
Still looking for a willing Green blogger (or SOMEONE on the left) to help round out Third Party Watch’s coverage. Drop me an email if you’re interested…

Hey folks, I’ve been working on a project seperate from TPW for a few weeks now. It’s going to be a website that serves primarily libertarian users, but I don’t want to go into any more detail than that as of yet.
However, if there are 3-4 of you out there who might be interested [...]
