For the record, I’m still in love with Liv aka Mona aka Ron Paul Girl. While Gravel is busy chasing after Obama Girl, I’m at least getting some internet play from Ron Paul Girl. Mona still provides some linky-love to one of my websites and hasn’t dropped me as a Facebook friend (yet).
Here’s Ron [...]

Children who willingly participate in sexual acts have the right to make that [...]

UPDATE 9:04: I just spoke to B.J. Lawson, who is clobbering Augustus Cho 70-30 with [...]

The Independent American Party of Nevada just hosted a great state convention in Reno, with nationally known writer Dr. Jerome Corsi as our keynote speaker. Other speakers included, Jim Clymer our national affiliate chairman, and California Eagle Forum President and author, Orlean Koehle, who both addressed the convention and the invited public. Ron Paul finished third in the Indiana and North Carolina primaries tonight, but it looks like those showings of 8% and 7% respectively will be enough to push him past the one million vote mark.
As of this moment, Paul has added 60,757 votes to his total… with 15% of the votes still to be counted [...]

I’ve only been an occassional contributor on TPW since Steve Gordon took over the site a few months ago. Partly to give Steve room to make things his own, and partly because I haven’t been as excited as I usually am about what’s going on. The promised Bloomberg or Unity ‘08 independent ticket [...]

Filing for Federal offices ended last week and it produced a couple of surprises. Among those are two credible major party candidates who have decided to run as independents instead of taking on incumbents in their party primaries. Either of these races could, in theory, produce an upset…
In District 14, Congressman Connie Mack [...]

As a centrist in the Libertarian Party, I’m certainly accustomed to the barbs of radicals and their sting, when I have disagreed on a policy position. However, I’m also attuned to the exclusionary policies of some in the right wing, and the problems that Republican Party divisiveness creates within a big-tent party [...]

From the Root for America campaign:
“In February 2008, LP California Convention delegates picked Wayne Allyn Root over a native son candidate in a straw poll after hearing Root and other Presidential candidates speak. From a great article about one of my favorite elected Libertarians:
I couldn’t convince likeable libertarian Ed Thompson on Friday to run for the Legislature this fall.
Too bad.
The Tomah mayor and bar owner would be a refreshing voice at the Capitol—not to mention a whole lot of fun.
Thompson, the younger brother of former Gov. Tommy Thompson, [...]

Global warming is now widely accepted as a fact within the scientific community. What is not yet accepted is the extent to which the planet will warm and the impact that it will have. What will Libertarians do about this issue?
