Christina Tobin, Nader’s national ballot access coordinator, said in the Capitol Friday that she was submitting paper work containing the signatures of more than 55,000 registered voters—or more than double the 24,665 registered voters required of third-party candidates—to earn a ballot position.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Ralph Nader has filed papers to appear on the ballot in Utah, saying:

“This country is not owned by the two major parties. They don’t own the voters,” Nader said. “There is not even the word ‘party’ in the Constitution. There isn’t even the word ‘corporation’ in the Constitution, [...]

The Tennessean reports:

The Nader campaign submitted 584 signatures; the candidate needs 275 verified signatures to secure a spot. To make his spot official, election officials will send the petitions to be certified in counties where they were collected.

The Barr campaign has not petitioned to be on the Tennessee ballot. The only two parties certified in [...]

The Fort Smith Times Record reports that “supporters of independent presidential hopeful Ralph Nader submitted about 2,000 signatures Friday seeking to place Nader on the state’s November ballot.” The secretary of state’s office has 10 days to certify the signatures, at least 1,000 of which must be be accepted as valid.
