Jonathan Todd Casey supplies us with an analysis from the Libertarian Party’s Classical Liberal Caucus. The graph shows the total amount of money raised in the first five months of each year for which there are FEC records, meaning this year and going back in time through three decades. The graph shows the inflation adjusted numbers.
The first 5 months of 2023 have been the worst fundraising for the LP in 30 years. If you don’t want it adjusted for inflation, well it’s the worst in 28 years. Every single month of 2023 has set 30 year record lows for that month. 6 of the 10 worst fundraising months in the past 30 years have been this past year.
