Update: Region 8 reported.
Since I couldn’t do a live blog of the meeting, I instead looked at some of the documents. This report will be expanded as time goes on.
Regional Representative Reports on state activities: Looking at reports of Regional Representatives, and counting states that submitted reports to their representatives:
Region 1: 2 of 7 states reported.
Region 2: 5 states reported
Region 3: No report from Regional Representative
Region 4: California reported
Region 5: 6 states reported
Region 6: 1 state of 9 reported
Region 7: 3 states reported
Region 8: 5 of 8 states reported. Missing were Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
Others: 3 states of 5 reported. The LNC New Mexico and Wyoming Groups did not respond to emails. A “Wyoming Liberty Group” is reported to be actively tracking the state legislature. Hawaii is having a board split with members resigning.
Summarizing, about half of the states submitted reports. Readers who recall when the LNC published its newsletter will remember that back then few states bothered to report. Various sources have suggested other reasons, notably state parties turning inwards out of exhaustion with the LNC. Sources also noted possible fears that submitted information will be used against states not currently under the control of the Mises Caucus, either by supporting efforts to create Mises Caucus control or by supporting delegate replacement.
