What an incoming Libertarian National Committee needs to do to put the Libertarian Party back on the road to success.
Since the 2022 Libertarian National Convention, the Libertarian Party has been shedding donors, members, voters, and candidates.
If good leaders are elected at the 2024 convention in Washington, D.C. over Memorial Day weekend, they will need to work quickly to reverse the failure of Angela McArdle and the Mises Caucus.
What follows is a general plan for success over the first 100 days of a new LNC.
1) Fill a Director level position for the four core areas of the Libertarian Party’s operations: Fundraising, Communications, Political, and Operations.
2) Bring back direct mail and paper newspaper to stay top of mind with supporters and prospects. Send out complimentary LP News copies to registered independents in targeted states.
3) Set a national policy agenda for 2024 and rate the candidates from all three parties on our policy agenda. Drive the center of the policy conversation in the United States.
Mark Rutherford from Indiana has announced for Libertarian National Chair and I think he has the best shot to implement a plan like this and bring the Libertarian Party back to the momentum we were achieving from 2014 through 2020.
