The Libertarian Party of Colorado has announced that they will run Robert F. Kennedy, Junior as their Presidential candidate. We quote from their X account
Libertarian Party of Colorado (LPCO) Announces Partnership with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Campaign The Libertarian Party of Colorado Board of Directors passed a resolution voting in favor of a groundbreaking partnership with the independent presidential campaign of @RobertKennedyJr.
This collaboration aims to disrupt the entrenched two-party system and provide Colorado voters with a viable alternative in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. The first presidential debate of the 2024 election highlighted major flaws and issues that all voters, especially unaffiliated and disenfranchised voters, have with the status quo candidates. Now, more than ever, is the time to take bold action to disrupt the authoritarian duopoly machine.
As part of this partnership, the Libertarian Party of Colorado will place the Kennedy/Shanahan ticket on the Colorado state ballot for president and vice president. This move reflects our commitment to offering voters a choice that transcends the traditional partisan divide and promotes individual liberty, personal responsibility, and limited government. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shares many of the Libertarian Party’s core principles, including a commitment to civil liberties, free markets, and a non-interventionist foreign policy. His campaign’s focus on ending corporate welfare, reducing government spending, and protecting the environment aligns with our values and resonates with Colorado voters. In addition, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a signatory of LPCO’s Presidential Liberty Pledge, affirming his alignment with many of the positions libertarians strongly hold, and its contents will be released at a later date.
By joining forces with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign, the Libertarian Party of Colorado aims to build a broad coalition of voters who are tired of the status quo and seek a fresh, principled alternative. We believe that this partnership will help us reach new audiences, expand our support base, and make a significant impact on the 2024 presidential election in Colorado.
We encourage all Colorado voters to learn more about Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign and the Libertarian Party’s platform. Together, we can break the stranglehold of the two-party system and create a more free, prosperous, and just society.
Quite the interesting holiday weekend for the LP.
Harlos filed her appeal with the LPCO Judicial Committee asking to reverse the Kennedy decision:

…And apparently has resigned from the Mises Caucus:

Meanwhile, Rectenwald on X has asked the LNC to decertify the Oliver ticket and make him or Kennedy the nominee! I thought he had moved on from the loss. This is a sad spectacle.
You want proof that Kennedy who admits he is a statist is nothing but a running dog for Trump this is it, with the Mises run Colorado(not) libertarian joke. The only satisfaction I have with Kennedy courting Libertarians is that(if I believed in that) his uncle Teddy who hated Libertarians is spinning in his grave!
Kennedy doesn’t need the Colorado Libertarian Party nomination because his own petition has 27,000 signatures, far more than the requirement 12,000. Also Colorado has no tradition of challenges to independent candidate petitions. It is possible Kennedy will say “thank you but I will not accept your nomination.”
Sad state of affairs for the LP/LNC when the founding party in the founding state doesn’t back the chosen candidate.
As mentioned elsewhere the LNC can put the kibosh on this nonsense by simply showing their unwavering support voting unanimously to re-affirm the P/VP along with all other officers & at-large elected by the delegates at convention. In addition they can vote to state that any affiliate that doesn’t support the Chase Campaign will lose all support immediately including any financial or data & would be subject for immediate vote on disaffiliation. They also can vote to help finance the placement of the campaign as an independent candidate.
That’s a very long way of saying “we’ve been looking for a way, some way, ANY way of helping Trump possibly carry Colorado and settled on this one — isn’t it a remarkable coincidence that we did so exactly one day after the deadline passed for the party whose convention we were represented at and bound by the results of to put a trustworthy affiliate on the ballot to replace our untrustworthy asses?”
Putting Oliver on the ticket probably will pull some votes away from Biden, which will indirectly help Trump. I doubt if it will cost Biden more than 0.1% of the vote, either way.
Do you honestly expect that Kennedy can pull enough votes in +6 Biden Colorado to flip it to Trump?
Unlikely to happen, despite what Zogby thinks.
In Colorado, the population-dense Denver-Boulder liberals will vote D even if Stalin is running–or the potted silk plant that is Biden. The rest of the state sans Pueblo, which is blue-dog, and some ski towns, which are just nuts, is geographically red and not enough to overcome the urban cesspools. The state D machine issues its marching orders and the drones follow unquestioningly. Seen it firsthand.
Kennedy will draw some disaffected Democrats, but not many, and not enough to make any impact. He’ll just wind up the loudest background noise.
The Democrat ace card is Jenna Griswold, the Colorado Secretary of State, aka Peanut’s sister. She’s not the brightest candle in the vacuum, but she knows how to follow marching orders. If Colorado is by some miracle in play, you can make bank that she’ll find a way to pull Biden’s diapered ass out of the fire.
