Duque-7 Role of the Mises Caucus in 2023

WHERE IS THE MISES CAUCUS IN ALL THIS?

  • Michael Heise has been undermining Angela from the beginning, starting with insisting on backing Caryn Ann. In Angela’s words, “Mike said he didn’t care about board dysfunction in the first term.”
  • After he got what he wanted, he then started lobbying with LNC members against her choice of executive director, and even with Lainie’s own staff. (Michael has had a vendetta against Lainie since she was a Mises organizer and he got himself all worked up over her desire to be part of a potential Dave Smith campaign, which she was completely open about. He has a whole stupid narrative about it and can’t let it go over a year later.)
  • Kathy told Miguel in December: “Angela suspects Heise is sabotaging.” And “I completely distrust anyone who is not a fan of Lainie … Heise tried to poison me against her. Stuff like that undermines what little faith in Heise I have left.” Then “Angela really doesn’t want to believe Heise is poisoning the well with Lainie. Idk if it’s happening but if it is she may start to see how he can damage us.”
  • Carrie Eiler: “Reed and Heise BOTH worked through Luke to tank Lainie. Heise poisoned Austin MC against Lainie, and Luke glommed onto that narrative … if nobody cares about what employees are doing, that we can prove, why would anybody care what leakers did that cannot be proven?”
  • Michael Heise never really attempted to support the Party by fully utilizing volunteers and donations from the Mises Caucus. Instead, he kept them for himself, and much of the MC membership is not highly engaged in national LP efforts aside from waiting eagerly for Dave Smith to run for President.
  • Some people have been leaking LNC executive session info to Michael Heise, who then pressured a state chair about what was said. As he is not on the LNC and the leader of a PAC with conflicting interests, this is completely inappropriate.
  • Michael Heise has been talking up Steven Nekhaila recently; it would not at all be surprising if he tries to run Nekhaila for chair in lieu of Angela next year.

Oh no! I got the candidate on the ballot in Colorado! Fortunately many people know I have kept to the path of integrity I always have and promised. Have a good day!

Interesting how everything in the “Duque Files” points to exactly the opposite in hindsight.

Angela was the Mises Caucus LNC chair candidate at the 2024 Convention.

Lanie left the LNC voluntarily after a disastrous period under her leadership where the LNC had no fundraising or outreach program and pushed out veteran staff holding the LNC together.

Caryn Ann’s behavior has showed her to be a disaster for this LNC and the Mises Caucus.

Mises Caucus recruited someone else not Dave Smith to run for President.

So you are challenging the authenticity of these documents?

Or is it possible that after they were originally leaked, the caucus changed plans?

And have they started casting the Netflix movie yet? The actress that plays Elspeth would be perfect to play Harlos. They could get Kevin Spacey to play Heise.

Didn’t Smith decide not to run, thereby damaging Mises fundraising? I seem to have read that someplace. In that case, saying that Mises ‘decided’ not to run him may be literally true, but kind of misses the point.

Him not running was the beginning of the end for the caucus. That is one thing this document certainly gets right. All eggs were in the Smith basket. He and I don’t see eye to eye on many things, but I like Dave. And Heise probably thinks I am the devil, but I like Mike. I always said about the caucus, “Don’t be corrupt, and you have nothing to worry about with me.” I know it won’t make me friends with anti-MC people, and I still have many friends in the Caucus, but I think Mike is a good guy. I call them as I see them, and if I am proven wrong, I say so. What is going on now is NOT what many of us signed up for. And the ugliness in this Duque dump was the dark underbelly I naively didn’t see. Just remember, while all this is spilling out, he was nice as pie to my face. Like me, hate me, I am not two-faced or I try not to be, but we all screw up and hopefully make amends.

You are correct. The Mises Caucus tried to recruit Dave Smith to run for President and he acted like he might do it for a little while but then he ended up declining.

Less known is that the Mises Caucus almost got Andrew Napolitano as a candidate for President. Napolitano mulled it over for several months in 2023 and then decided to not go through with it.

“Mulling it over for a few months…” – considering we’re now almost to year 2025 and this is the first anyone outside of MC Brain Trust has heard about it, that doesn’t mean anything. This is like all the rumored sports coach hires that never happen, who cares? For all we know Napolitano could’ve been seriously considering it versus laughing to his friends about it of “can you believe these idiots?”

What do you think about the large ammounts of cash moved from Kennedy PACs and the joint Fundrausing committee ito pacs or other nonptofits controlled by Angela all while she was actively working to keep Chase off the Colorado Ballot?

I think that is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. There are several possible outcomes:

The organizations file the forms, after which they will likely receive quite substantial fines from the FEC. They like to do that, especially when it is something as flagrant as failing to file and being at this point more than a month late.

If they file their forms, we get to see what other contributions they received — and of course, where the money went. This is assuming the forms contain accurate information and are not fraudulent in nature.

If they do not file their forms, My guess is that the chair of the LNC will be asking Trump to shut down FEC enforcement, which has been done in the past.

In 2020, they were several campaigns that were clearly laundering money. I talked to the FEC, but I was told “unofficially” that nothing would happen because there were not enough commissioners for them to meet and take action.

Either way, they are on the radar and the FEC will likely not wait very long to take action. My guess is before January 20.

Third possibility is this all comes out during discovery as part of the dirivatives lawsuit

          • Stewart Flood Stewart Flood December 29, 2024

True, but when will that take place? And if they try to include this as evidence, it will add potentially months of discovery.

These crimes took place after the lawsuits were filed.

        • Ryan Ryan December 30, 2024

Or they just lie, commit crimes, and leave the party and organization for their successors to clean up. If you believe this is all a Steve Bannon & Friends front that would make sense.

        • Ryan Ryan December 30, 2024

“In 2020, they were several campaigns that were clearly laundering money. I talked to the FEC, but I was told “unofficially” that nothing would happen because there were not enough commissioners for them to meet and take action.”

Names? Just because the FEC can’t take action doesn’t mean others can’t.

It was quite obvious at the time, and was commented on here and on other sites. I’m not going to repeat things I wrote back then or reference what others wrote.

But five years later, you’re not going to get anybody to do anything. I would worry about things that happened this election cycle. Some of them are still happening.
