Nearly two years ago, Libertarians chose to make a radical transformation of the party’s tactics. Old, ineffective processes were to be replaced with 21st century methods, leading to a bright future for America’s libertarian party. Indeed, the first half of that transformation has been carried out, efficiently and effectively, as promised.
Direct mail fundraising has been substantially discontinued.
Our old-fashioned paper newspaper, LP News, largely ceased to be published.
A national headquarters building filled with staff has been entirely emptied out and will soon be rented to new tenants.
The old fashioned direct candidate training program has been run down to a near-stop.
Candidate recruitment appears to be at a standstill.
Traditional press releases on libertarian issues and positions have ceased.
The independence of state parties has been successfully replaced with litigation.
Advertising and mail for membership recruitment seems to be largely at a standstill.
Regular publication of detailed membership numbers, e.g., how many people renewed their memberships were replaced with simple counts of members of different classes.
Yes, we can surely congratulate the Mises Caucus for their successful implementation of their plan to eliminate old-fashioned and ineffective political processes, exactly as they had promised.
Republican Reno Reset success, yes. It’s a wrecking operation, fully intentionally, and they’re going a great job of intentionally wrecking. The damage is permanent, and the party will go down the drain and fracture at an accelerating rate. It will not be repaired or replaced.
The second half is the replacements for these. There have been some replacements.
