LNC In Action — August 2024

Harlos withdraws from the legal committee. She writes:

Please consider this my resignation my from the legal committee. I learned a great deal from my work but cannot continue. I wish to concentrate on APRC and Secretarial work. The BAC ends in November so that time will be freed then.

The LNC ExComm is voting on a contract with Strategists, Inc for Board Training. The motion reads: Move to approve contract with Strategists, Inc. (contract shared [we believe the enxt two words are off list.])

Discussion included: Harlos: How is this an ExComm vote? It’s a full LNC vote.

Nekhaila: I highly encourage my colleagues on the ExCom to co-sponsor and vote Aye on this motion. I had the opportunity to work with Debbie Mason in my role on the Key West Chamber of Commerce BoD and she was instrumental in forming our strategic vision and improving boare cohesion. I have no doubt she will be invaluable for the LNC. This is one of the best partnerships the board can execute right now.

McArdle responded: It is time sensitive, hence it is an excom vote. We need to get a deposit in asap so we can make it happen. I explained we needed to wait til we have the cash, but there’s a survey to prepare & distribute and minutes to review.

Harlos wrote: I’ll start it tonight but an ExComm vote is no faster than an LNC one. I’m not voting until I hear in detail how we’ve fully funded Kentucky care helping my our candidates in hostile states instead of something that can wait. That is my bylaws right.

McArdle: You’re proving why we need the training. Thank you!

Harlos: I’ll note that expediency exception refers only to MEETINGS. You are just deeming something nonexistent. It matters.

Malagon: Please take me off this thread. I met my quota for unproductive screeching last week. Don’t send to my personal email. Good day.
