The Hagopian Letter to the LNC

Recently, there has been public controversy over a letter that former Treasurer Todd Hagopian sent to a considerable number of members of the LNC.  The letter was sent privately but has apparently become public knowledge in some circles.  We had not discussed this here previously, because other matters were occurring, and we did not want to flood our finite bandwidth with more news than people were likely to read.  However, the author of the letter is the immediately previous National Treasurer, so his opinions on certain legal-financial matters are certainly worthy of note.

However, we have determined from a reliable source that we were sent the wrong letter as the letter that has become public.   The letter that has become public now appears here.  We regret the error.

The following is the text of the letter that is being discussed elsewhere.  In presenting the letter, we are not expressing an opinion as to whether or not Hagopian’s analysis is correct.

Subject: Investigate Angela

Hey folks,
 
I know it is not ideal, due to obvious retribution you will likely face.  But, those who served with me know that I would have done this if I were still on the LNC.  Someone needs to make a motion, using the exact same wording as they used to investigate CAH, to start an investigation on Angela for this $25,000 payment from the JFC.  It is a clear conflict of interest, and she has now personally benefitted from a JFC that she forced through, which has already been appealed to the JC twice.
 
 
This is 1,000x worse than what CAH has done, and worse than Nick asking for a salary years ago.  She needs to be investigated for this, along with the Mar a lago meeting, and any other potential conflicts of interests (promised jobs, etc) that come up during the course of the investigation.
