Summary
A petition for appeal was filed with the Judicial Committee by George Phillies on Oct. 30, 2024, with the caption “JUDICIAL COMMITTEE APPEAL TO VOID LNC DECISIONS OF OCTOBER 6, 2024.” Title as adopted by the Judicial Committee: “In re: Judicial Committee Appeal to Void LNC Decisions of October 6, 2024”.
Informal: Phillies vs. LNC.
The Libertarian Judicial Committee hereby vetoes and declares null and void each of the decisions that are the subject of this appeal.

Mike Seebeck delivered a Concurring Opinion, joined by Marc Montoni.
Ken Krawchuk and Rob Latham each delivered separate Dissenting Opinions.
Congratulations George on your victory. We are better of for it.
Congratulations George Phillies and Nicholas Sarwark. This doesn’t mean that the MAGA(which I call MACA: Make America Colonial Again) will give up. But that is a victory. Who are the lawyers McArdle is sending in and what are their connections?
So a quick question… With hopefully an easy answer…
What is the actual effect of this decision? This is, of course, assuming that the LNC obeys the decision. That may not happen.
I believe there was no trial as no valid charges. My appeal raises issues about Ex Sess and other alleged violations the JC may address. My readings, I am Secretary with full rights abd I will act accordingly.
You may want to bump that funding request to include money for a bodyguard at the meeting when you try to get access to the records. I am not joking.
Congratulations!
Congrats on your well-framed, well-argued, successful appeal on behalf of the party’s members.
For obvious reasons, even before McArdle’s response, I didn’t expect the wreckers to change their ways just because they lost. The best-case scenario is that, having largely accomplished their mission of bankrupting the party and preventing it from harming their GOP paymasters’ efforts to put Trump back in office, they’ll walk away and move on to new Bannon/Stone ops in other organizations.
I will be attending the meeting in RI as the rightful Secretary. I have a gofundme to help as you can imagine last minute from Denver to RI isn’t cheap. Get in touch if you would like to help (don’t want to post such a link without permission). If you are in that area, please attend the meeting, I could use the moral support.
Please post the link.
Thanks George, I’m 56% way there

You can remain anonymous. I do have other means as well like Zelle etc just reach out. But that total reflects all.
Nick Sarwark and Dr. Phillies did an excellent job in their oral arguments to the judicial committee. Congratulations on your win!
I have read the opinions and fully agree with the Seebeck concurrence. It is very well-written and thorough.
The Tarnoff majority opinion is correct about the LNC not meeting the standard of gross malfeasance. I disagree with the suggestion that it would be a good idea to repeal that policy manual provision defining cause and/or to remove “for cause” entirely from the bylaws through a future amendment in convention. That would allow a 2/3 super-majority to remove minority viewpoints from the LNC and consolidate power.
That was the majority opinion showing the pathway.
Are you saying Mr Jacobs that the LNC should be able to kick off elected meembers because they disagree with the majority? Or because they do something the majority just doesn’t like? Please clarify what you mean the pathway.
Thank you for your efforts!
And I already have been emailed a comment on the situation:
Gentlemen of the JC:
Either our attorneys or I will be in touch tomorrow afternoon.
Angela McArdle
Chair, Libertarian National Committee
Not surprised about her response. It’s pathetic how much of a sore loser she’s being here.
I am very happy that the JC made the right decision. It’s a win for the LP, and a loss for tyranny.
The LNC can afford attorneys?
That’s part of the reason they are broke…
