We keep seeing the same comment repeated from this spammer. Anyone who puts a comment in their name should be banned from doing anything online anywhere at any time. Sorry, but that’s about as polite as I can be about this person or program that keeps posting this stuff.
That said, things do seem to be calming down now that a new chair and vice chair have been elected. They even updated some of the LNC pictures and designations on lp.org! Of course, they are still missing a half dozen pictures, including the one they removed of the secretary and seem to be quite slow putting back.
Of course, no website is perfect. But an organization as small as the LP, as poor as the LP, and as badly runs the LP, can’t afford to ignore any form of promotion/information about the party. Especially when it is five minutes work for even the least skilled web designer on the planet.
In particular right now, mcarlde has brought a lot of attention to the LP, none of it good, but they can turn this into something good, show how an organization with integrity and transparency can eliminate the stain of corruption her and her ilk brought.
That is certainly possible. But as recommended by Ms. Hogarth, they really need to complete an investigation and find out what happened.
It is certainly possible, although not certain, that she had accomplices on the LNC or staff, who knew what she was doing and helped run interference to keep others from catching her. I have no evidence of that, it is just a suspicion based upon what I have seen from the outside.
What interference was there to run? Freedom Calls LLC was listed on the LNC’s campaign finance reports for months, probably 9 or 10 months. I saw it on there because I read all the reports of the Federal Election Commission’s website. Anyone in the world can look this up. I wondered who it was and I did a search and I could not find any information. I thought about asking about it but before I got around to it Jake Porter did a deeper investigation than I did and he found out and posted the story online. Anyone in the party could have done this months before Jake Porter did it.
This reminds me of back in 2012 when 47% of the LNC’s ballot access budget (not including additional funds from the Gary Johnson campaign and some state affiliates which went to the same person) went to one petition contractor who had multiple instances of low validity rates and who caused the LP to almost fail to get on the ballot in Pennsylvania, and who caused the LP to spend lots of additional money there to save the drive. The money was also paid to a corporate shell but I knew who was behind it. Most of the LNC was clueless about it and I know this because I confronted them over it. Several LNC members admitted to me that they do not even read the campaign finance reports. They had no idea that 47% of the ballot access budget went to one person who did a poor job, who never got their pay docked or were reprimanded in any way.
Thank god he did not win.

Recent post on Youtube by Chas Oliver “Am I running for LNC Chair?” Covers
his remarks as to Heise and Amash as well as answering some questions by
LP members. Well worth the watch.
How about just telling us what he said? Here, I’ll do it.
Chase endorsed Amash. I love Chase but I think Amash would be a bad choice. He’s not spent any time in the LP trenches nor served on the LNC. We’ve been burned too many times by “celebrity” politicians parachuting in, losing, and then bailing. How many minutes was Bill Weld a Libertarian? Remember “Libertarian” Bob Barr? Amash’s heart may be in the right place but I think he feels he may be entitled to a leadership position just because.
I like Chase, I voted for him.but I agree, Amash is the wrong direction, I really think Mr Redpath is the best person to set the party back on the right path
I think Justin Amash is more libertarian than Bob Barr and Bill Weld ever were, but beyond speaking at a few Libertarian Party conventions Justin Amash really did not do anything in the Libertarian Party. I would prefer to see the position go to an actual party specific activist who is knowledgeable about party operations and has at least some track record of success.
It should be Spike Cohen.
I watched Chase Oliver’s Youtube video and thought it was informative and insightful. I agree with his opinion that Justin Amash would be a good Chair of the Libertarian Party LNC. Redpath would be my second choice as he has solid credentials and record of service.
Amash ? Seriously? Nothing against him personally, but the worst possible strategic move.
Due to (or because of, despending how you see it) McArdle”s strategy, Libertarians are in position to be listened to, and to have some influence. For the first time, they are can reach some victories, freeing Ross was the first, but more are to come.
And the guy supposed to negociate these victories should be the very single Republican congressman who voted to impeach Trump ?
At the first second of his tenure, influence is gone.
Even people who opposed McArdle”s strategy should consider the reality. The work to become politically relevant has been done, it’s time to cash the gains, not to spoil them !
Um. no.
Our job is to OPPOSE the duopoly, not collaborate with it.
lol.
From bad to worse.
Mike Heise is a joke.
One of the current LNC members should take over as chair.
Preferably Redpath.
The guy has given 1/2 million dollars to LP.
That’s commitment and dedication.
McArdle resigns in disgrace after a bunch of Mises-backed people on the LNC were about to (rightly) oust her for corruption, and caucus leadership turns around and says, “Wow, what a success she was! Let’s keep that winning streak going!”
Tone deaf.
Just NO.
This is clearly an attempt for the Mises Caucus to retain power and sweep the past misdeeds under the rug.
The New Chair and Vice Chair need to be impartial people with solid administrative and procedural backgrounds and experience in the LNC who are not in the Mises, Classical Liberal, Radical, or any other major caucus in the LP.
