The January National Party Membership report is out. There is a technical issue with the count of life members, so data on that is tagged as needing work.
Sustaining (i.e., dues-paying [CORRECTION: and life]) national members:
End of July 2024 — 11892
End of December 2024 — 10569
End of January 2025 — 10367
That’s a drop of 200 in one month and 1525 in six months.
Correction: The figure in the report is to be interpreted as meaning that life members are being correctly counted as sustaining members.
Or is their membership now a recognizable meme stock and never recover?
I agree that it could take quite a bit of time to find out. Do they have the time?
It’s going to take years for LP to recover from Angela McArdle and Mike Heise.
The question now:
Will membership drop below 10,000 before it surpasses 11,000?
