Where Your Money Went

Assembling the FEC report for April, in round numbers: Employees received $18,500 in net pay. Employee related expenses reached toward $12,000.  Consultants received $45,300, which is only slightly less than party conventional income for the month. Directors and Officers Insurance came to $15,000.

For April, expenditures included employee net pay: $6240 to Hannah Kennedy, $4475 to Canyon Gargon, $3000 to Andrew Buchkovich, $2920 to Andrew Hreha, and $1850 to Iris Poole. Note that these are net pay, various items having been deducted. Various state and Federal taxes came to $5872. Employee health insurance came to $2663. 401K Payments came to $1586. Actually paying people cost $1555 to Paychex Flex.

There is an office. Software and hardware came to $1978. Extra Space Storage cost $400. Cleaning by Trimark cost $214. Utilities cost $202. AT&T telecommunications cost $196. Comcast internet cost $156.

There were also consultants, including $11,200 to Paula Edwards for FEC consulting (yes, that is an unusually large number for her), $8092 to Cornerstone Solutions for CRM Consulting, $6750 to Eleanor Cox for Campaign Consulting, $4500 to Oliver Hall for legal expenses, $4500 to Brian McWilliams for fundraising expenses, $4200 to Mountaintop Creative for graphic design, $360 to David Aitken for CRM consulting, and $1200 to Michael Heise for Outreach and Activism.

Directors and Officers Insurance came to $15,035. Strategists, Inc, received $4520 as Consultant-Board Meeting. Travel and expenses to the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids cost $1238. CSC – Corp. Services Co. received $203 for legal expenses.

Credit Card Payments came to $41,680. There were also $1026 of Bank Fees.

In support of candidates, Voter Gravity came to $3000. Fundraising merchandise was over $2000. Postage came to $721.

There are expenditures related to the Kennedy Fund, including $200,000 for security, but also $24,449 for strategic brand implementation, $10,000 for a director of technology, $9650 for legal services, $7000 for salary, $5000 as an advertising search fee, $2900 for merchandise, $1820 for administrative consulting, $1450 for an engagement specialist, and $756 for fundraising consulting.

There are considerable credit card debts, reported at the last LNC meeting to be over $70,000.
